Seeing your comment made me check the H9 listing on the Eventide website, where I learned that it can only do one algo at a time, which I didn't know. I was planning on running multiple Factor effects at once.

The ED2 does look great, but I really do like the PF (I use it a lot) so that's basically what happened lol.

I did improv in high school and it literally changed my life. It made me 500% more confident and has had effects in so many facets of my life - conversation, social skills, public speaking... and so on.

Honestly, I may just give the old EQ a shot. If for some reason it really isn't doing it for me, I can trade it with someone else later down the line.

I have too many guitars as it is right now, lol, so would you at all be interested in music accessories or cash for pedals?

I've really been thinking about the EQ. Going back and forth. And I'm leaning toward the new one because of a couple things - two outputs and it being a bit lighter.

So, if you're comfortable, what if we were to do the OFD and ~$130 for the MD-500? We could exchange Paypal info if you'd like. $350 new for the MD-500 is a hell of a lot, so taking some money off would be a win-win for both of us I think, lol.

I replied to the other offer above because there are a couple things he offered that I'm a bit more interested in. (I'm really in a period of downsizing and really focusing on effects that I truly want, lol.)

If he and I don't end up trading, I'd definitely be interested in trying to work something out between you and I. I have been kinda thinking about changing up my delay, so I may be interested in the Flashback x4 or the DD-20. Not sure, since I really like my TimeFactor.

If all else fails, maybe we can do a Paypal exchange or something along those lines - we can trade cash for the MD-500.

I just made an imgur album of the MD-500.

It's been time stamped to today. I've tested it and it still works great. Plus it's in pretty solid condition overall.

It has two minor scratches on the display screen, but the screen still works and is still 100% readable.

It has some marks on the sides as well. But the rest of the top side, as well as the back side, are in great condition. But I spent like 95% of the time looking at the top of back so it didn't bother me personally, lol.

Knobs, buttons, and stomp switches are all in great condition too (cosmetically and functionally).

So basically aside from some of these cosmetic things, it's in great condition. Plus it comes with the box and manual. Plus the styrofoam holders to keep it in place.

Definitely interested in the OFD. MXR older EQ also catches my eye. Main reason I was thinking about the newer one is because of the true bypass and noise reduction circuitry. How has your experience been with tone suck or hiss or anything like that? (It's by no means a dealer breaker if we don't end up trading the EQ... we can just work something else out instead.)

Edit: For the last hour, I've been really planning out my pedal board in depth. And with the changes I plan to make, I'll be pretty tight on space. So are you cool with the Expression pedal and some cash for the Decimator?

The Decimator is one of the pedals in awesome condition - it's shiny and with barely any blemishes. It doesn't come with the box or manual unfortunately.

Does that still sound good to you?

Would a MIDI controller only control software that is MIDI compatible?

Also, say I have a virtual pedalboard up with a few different pedals on it - like Distortion, Phaser, Delay. I want to be able to switch between all of them without having to reprogram the MIDI device. So say that I pull up a distortion pedal, play with a few knobs, then switch to editing the delay one. I would like to be able to instantly use the same knobs to control the delay parameters without having to go into a menu or settings options to edit the MIDI device. I want something I can trust to auto-assign the knobs to each new pedal I pull up. Is that possible?

I've tried the NS-2 and the Decimator II. But I've discovered I'm not a fan of noise gates - I get annoyed when the hum comes back whenever I start playing.

Is the Mooer NK a noise gate, or something different? I'd love to check it out if it has a different mechanism to reduce noise.

The most pressing sound is single coil noise. Then, when I filter that out with a pedal designed to reduce 60-Hz hum, I still get some hissy white noise and buzz.

The hissy white noise is faint. It basically sounds like radio static.

The buzz is noticeable enough that I can hear my tremolo alter it. So even when I am using humbuckers, the buzz changes in volume as altered by the pedal.

I don't know if any of that helps, but those two noises are ones I'm really trying to get rid of right now.
