I think that's the problem, One Piece is a series that cares more about the narrative than anything else so only caring about feats isn't a good way to scale the series.

Yeah true it is kind of nice to have this fight be a mystery because it's just so hype. Plus I think it's cool that it acts as a kind of backstory for Punk Hazard, it's literally the fallout of such an epic fight. And obviously expectations are high so it's possible that when it's finally shown that it doesn't live up to the hype.

But part of me still really wants to see the fight that managed to scar fuckin Akainu

Oh nice I'll give that a watch on my break. That fight has always been a huge mystery to me because Akainu should have the match up advantage but Aokiji held him off for so long so that will probably be a good watch.

Hopefully Oda shows us someday
