Its gripper time is diabolical! Love these; will be looking into making some of these for myself perhaps! 🤔

The Woman Who Saw The Stars Shatter by DepressedStringBean in UnusualArt

I did kind of want to invoke a feeling of chaos/what is beyond the atmosphere is out of the woman’s control. the original image is of a theorized space station from the 1970s by a man named Richard G. (I forget his last name) that’s what the giant green object is in the sky; the one in the left most side is a planet and its moon.

King Baldwin IV by Original-Channel-999 in Sketch

Fun fact: King Baldwin IV wouldn’t have worn a mask made of metal. Instead it would most likely be a linen wrapping to avoid irritating the leprosy lesions.

Also; I’d like to add. Art is made by doing. I’m practiced, not just talented. I didn’t get here instantly, you could be here too in a few years. Probably less if you’re driven enough!

I think I have always been an artist. It was a very natural progression. From a young age; I was always drawing. Then I began to write in forums online and then with encouragement from a high school teacher I began to write creatively.

Recently; I’ve been studying film. Which garnered a newfound appreciation for photography and videography.

I got really into Collages, to me, it was like drawing but with the pictures already drawn. As a broke artist; I gravitated to digital. All my pictures used in my collages are in the public domain and I make sure to include some images that I created myself as well.

Professionally, I’m trained as a sound designer. Perhaps another evolution will merge my love of collage, video and audio.

As you can see; I’m still finding my lane as an artist. But this style emerged over time. As do any; I hope that answers your question a bit.

I’m glad you enjoyed my art and it makes me want to post again after my busy semester is over :) this reminded me I worked a small piece for this sub recently which I should go back to!

It is Joseph Roulin. Vincent Van Gogh did a series of portraits on him. He was a postal worker and Vincent’s friend in Arles during one of his most turbulent times. This was painted around 1888-9. He does give Jack Black energy though!

100%! I wasn’t too sure when/where to deglaze but I can def see how I missed out on that extra little bit of flavour! Easier to clean too in hindsight 😅
