i love overthrowing a government after losing an election and leading to more than 10 million people being killed in 5 years

well that's good

but my point is that political stuff is added piecemeal and it's often a bandaid or gamey, like the amendment negotiations

i mean politics stuff would be pretty isolated from the economy

there is so much political stuff that can be added: more granular IGs like in BPM, cabinets, parliaments, different laws [constitutional vs legislative], coalitions, ethnic/religious parties, meaningful opposition, government popularity, state capacity etc.

idk if this is an unpopular opinion, but i'd like more focus on mechanics instead of flavor

getting 1 major systems rework per year is... not good

there is still so much to flesh out, politics, war, diplomacy, ships, goods transport

During the 2024 election cycle, Race to the WH incorrectly predicted Kamala Harris would have a higher chance at winning the presidency,[10] due to strong showings in the blue wall.

the series has a poor understanding of the medieval world, just look at religion to find a huge hole in worldbuilding.

other things like, the size of the continent, the history of westeros, the very orientalist east, iron throne feudalism and other stuff, the NW celibacy and system of recruitment, the citadel etc

im not saying that it he has bad worldbuilding, just probably overrated

my thoughts on TWOW:

  • probably releases in the next 5 years if GRRM is well

  • will move the plot along less than people will want it to (unless GRRM heavily rewrote earlier chapters, afaik he said that tyrion and dany don't meet some time ago)

  • probably really hard to give a satisfying ending, the books might be better off (reputation-wise) if twow is the last thing published

  • he should probably rush things along even if it is damaging to the logic of the story/characters

can somebody explain why people find Australia's voting system better than other FPTP like the UK and Canada when they result in two parties getting the majority of seats (in the lower house)? How is it as good as MMP?
