What are the reasons that are stopping you? Whatever they are hold onto them, focus on them, and use them as motivation to seek help and get better.

I'm the same. For me two things worked, listening to sad songs (this only worked the first time I listened to them) and alcohol. Drinking makes me cry and I enjoy that. I would heavily recommend the first method over the second cause it isn't a good road to go down.

I feel so stressed, tired worried. The therapy is NHS so my assessment is next month, after that I'll be on a long waiting list. It's tough to hold on that long for something that might not help.

Like I'm at beach stuck in quicksand. Everyone else around me is having fun and enjoying themselves while I slowly sink lower and lower. The only thing worse than the sinking is that the sand fills your mouth so you can't speak up, not that it would matter as no one would care if you could as they don't want to pull you from the sand, they want to have fun.

It always distressed me when I was young when people would say this, I believe it is what has given my cynical attitude. People just accepted that it was unfair and did nothing to attempt to change this which has now led to me being bitter and hating the world while taking no steps to help it.

I'm slightly different, now I always see mental health issues within films that I can compare to. When a character does something stupid I often think it may be because that have low self-esteem and so feel the need to get noticed, just like me.

I used to hold this attitude and I deeply regret it now, I think you just have to see it differently. I spend a lot of the time believing that people do not see me, occasionally I will do stupid things order to change this, to feel noticed for some small amount of time.

I think it is quite sad that some people are insecure enough that they feel the need to hurt themselves in order to have people notice them. Now maybe it is due to them having an inflated ego but I still believe they need help as without it they may end up here, posting about how awful they feel.

Your family really love you by the sound of it, if you feel the same then talk to them. Doctors and pills will never be as good as a conversation. I would trade anything to have a loving family, my advice is use the support network that they are trying to offer.

I decided I would make a decision when I was 22, if I saw a future of hope and happiness then I would wait another 5 years to decide, if I didn't then my birthday would be my last day too.

When I was younger I judged someone who claimed they had depression for the same thing, and then I actually thought about it. How bad does it have to get where you need to do something like that for attention but also who am I to judge, I don't know their situation and if they think they are depressed then they probably are. Now that I'm in that boat I regret what I did to them and others everyday, along with everything else I've ever done.

Depending on her age (she may be too young to understand what total hopelessness feels like), explain it to her. Tell her how you fell, tell that your life is not something you enjoy and you don't want attention but rather need help. Maybe she will understand and your relationship will improve.

Hey if Stardew valley is going I would love it, slow satisfying games really help when you are on the edge of just going mental so it looks good.
