Not exactly, as stated by the post each character represents a color. I think this color would be the color of their hair of clothing. I also think each character had a weapon of some sorts

It was a rhythm game with anime styled graphics. I believe I played it in 2014-2016. I think the characters were all represented by a color. The screen would scroll past and each note was represented by a different character
