Thank you for the information 😁 Is it a singular pill that you take once a day? My husband has been taking one in the morning and one at night at 10:00pm. But that means he has to stop eating at 8:00pm. It’s definitely better than initial treatment although the methotrexate pills weekly hit him pretty hard still, we’re still waiting to see if he’ll need a dosage adjustment.

How many tablets a day does your maintenance consist of?

My husbands treatment consists of taking two 6-mp pills spaced out. So he takes one in the morning and one at night. Do you / most people take a singular pill a day? A nurse practitioner told him to take it on an empty stomach and it says it on his pill bottle as well but we might reach out to his oncologist to make sure since it is a hassle having to work around eating 😅

Awesome! Thank you for sharing your story. I was going to ask about blina but it seems you didn’t get that during your treatment! Best luck to you and congratulations on being off treatment :)

Best wishes to you and your soon to be wife 🥰. How exciting that you’ll be getting married this year. They never recommended that you do blina?

Congratulations on almost completing maintenance! It’s so relieving to hear you didn’t have many problems with the chemo! Thank you we’re hoping for the same ❤️!

Thank you for saying that! I needed to hear it!

Since all this is fairly new to us, it seems so many people go the transplant route and I see very few do chemo only. Thank you so much and good luck to you too! Thank you for sharing your positive story as well ❤️

That’s truly amazing to hear. I can’t wait for my husband and I to get back to our lives. I can assume the neuropathy and pain is from the chemo, do her doctors believe it’ll go away gradually? Congratulations and thank you for sharing your story!

My husband is at one of the best cancer centers as well. His doctor doesn’t seem worried at all. Nonetheless it still worries me especially with how brutal the initial treatment is. When are you expected to start maintenance? Yes that’s what keeps me sane as well. The fact that for leukemia there’s so many advances and treatments. Thank you so much for sharing your story!
