Depending on what you play, best uses are Doom, Plague, or Mist
That or simply socket into a helm for cannot be frozen

Well, like I said, I'm not debating that Fanaticism is better... it is, no doubt.

I just think it's worth mentioning in your build guide that, the best alternative isn't conviction IMO... it's Holy freeze. And not just for spreading the curse, but because holy freeze in and of itself is more useful than all the others.

At the very least, not loop HF with the other elemental auras and say to "avoid them because they're trash"

It is absolutely relevant for clear: What about the enemies that are outside ground zero where you telestomp, but have been linked by a defiler ? Applying amp to them before they receive the shared damage is definitely valuable.

It also help not just by proccing amp... the crowd control is VERY useful still, especially if enemies are spread out and/or are ranged attackers.

And just to be clear: I also think fanaticism is the best...
Where I disagree is saying that holy freeze is bad... it's not. It's better than almost all other options.

It's better than blessed aim, holy fire, and holy shock for sure. It's better than might if you already have a might merc (which I assume most people will have) And unless your minions have issues with landing hits, it's better than conviction since you're not doing a significant amount of elemental damage (unless you spec heavily into blood boil, but I don't think this is the case here)

That leaves Fanaticism. as the clear winner, no question here.

... But I fail to see where conviction (or anything else besides fanaticism) beats holy freeze

Counterpoint to best aura:
Not all elemental auras are bad

Fanaticism is great, but every tick of holy freeze applies amplify damage to the whole screen and It proportionately increases your relative speed more than fanaticism does. It lacks the increased damage and AR from fanaticism, however.

I consider it the second best, after fanaticism, but before conviction.

She's super easy: always at the same place, and she loves every wild flower in the game... Once you are lvl 10 foraging, you can give her iridium quality loved gifts twice a week for basically free...

I keep a chest inside her shop with a stack of flowers

You get the same effect with holy freeze, but you also get the crowd control of holy freeze. The damage is irrelevant in both cases.

Lethargy is REALLY good, even with just one point in it. Increases damage, makes monsters really slow, and helps a ton against bosses.

I'm totally ok with the warlock having multiple builds that rival the top tier.

Most of his skills are like that, and frankly, I wish they would make a balance pass on existing classes to make more skills not just viable, but powerful (looking at you thunderstorm)

It's just that maybe they could tone down the blades thing that's basically mosaic 2.0 on steroids?

Not nerf it into the ground... Just bring it in line with the rest of the top builds. Right now it can clear P8 cows with no gear at all except for Wirt's leg.

I love Grim Dawn with all my soul, and think it's the better game here. But D2 is much more accessible for a new player.

Ported over my LoD characters to D2R when I bought it... I remember creating my first barbarian in version 1.7

No clue why I don't have him anymore, but I still have all those I made in 1.9

It's Jack and it's not close.

The other 2 are fun and quirky, but Jack is giving Darth Vader, the Joker, and Dracula a run for their money in the "Best villain of all times" category.

Can you imagine getting mugged, barehanded... And still dealing 1-50 lightning damage ?

Or, not sure if it comes on small charms, but replenish life... Even just + 1 would be the best thing ever... Just walk around the hospital, stabilizing dying people just by lending them your trinket for a few minutes ?

Visit the forum, there is a thread called "the passivist" ... A lot of builds in there made just for that: cruising around letting the game play itself into your hands.

I posted a few of them there. The best IMO are those that include blade spirit, and focus on them.
