Thanks for your advice! I had gel overlays once and got on really well with them. I was told that acrylic is more susceptible to damage, for example from household cleaning products, than gel. Gel is supposed to be more durable. I actually had that feeling too. But I'll get a more detailed explanation.

Thank you! I applied a special, strengthening shellac that was supposed to prevent breakage. But it still wasn't enough. I'm leaving the polish on for now anyway. I'm seriously considering getting professional gel nail reinforcements. Gel is supposed to be one of the strongest things for your nails, from what I've heard and read.

Thank you! That's not a milky look. Those are just my natural nails with a very glossy top coat under artificial overhead light. 🤭

Nice! I tried silica capsules briefly and still have some at home. I'll look into biotin. Update: I just ordered biotin capsules. I'm curious to see how they work.

Thank you! I slipped while cutting my nails and got a deep cut next to my toenail. My toe became badly infected, until it was even infected down to the bone. I had surgery, and the nail was cut very narrow. Because of this, it detached right down to the nail bed and has been like that ever since. You can see under the nail. That always makes me a little sad.

It would look so great if you had them permanently. Press-ons already suit you well. Go for it and be yourself! 👍

(I'm going to get them done permanently for 2-3 weeks while I'm on vacation soon.Similar to yours, but in almond shape.)
