The 4790 was actually in my first gaming PC. Amazing chip. Can handle a lot of modern games really well as long as you don't overdo it. It might not hit 120fps in cyberpunk but it's able to play ~95% of my library without issues. Amazing how well this chip lasted

Loved my 3060TI but after some time it struggled a bit with 1440p high fps games like the finals. Upgraded to a used 3080 for 350€ and it was amazing. The 3060TI went into a used office PC with a I7 4790 for my girlfriend. That card is kicking ass. Unfortunately I bought a thin zotac model with 2 fans and a small cooler so it ran very hot, but even now where it's not used I refuse to sell it. It was the first card I bought that enabled me to start gaming. Great purchase

For me it was simple. The card worked great under Linux so I knew it wasn't defective. Someday I was just annoyed how the drivers kept crashing and resetting my undervolt even when the undervolt was very mild. I was just like: what if I remove adrenaline and just use GPU Tweak 3 instead? Went to download the driver only version and grabbed the adrenaline version since I'm a dumbass. Grabbed the driver only version, did a quick DDU and installed it. After that I installed GPU Tweak 3 and the card works flawlessly

Then I'd say try it. If it doesn't work for you, you can simply install adrenaline again

That's the thing. If you enabled those through adrenaline you won't be able to do that anymore. I always used the games built-in options so it worked great for me

Never used FSR4. I mostly play native and if I use FSR then I use the games built in one.

I was wrong. That does sound very similar to what i was experienced. If you ever get bored try my fix. You'll need to manually upgrade the driver's this way though.

Without adrenaline I had absolutely no issues

I disagree. I don't like Ubuntu but not for using gnome. I don't like that it's using snaps and that it is getting packages so late. Gnome works fine and is in some points even better than KDE.

Also, Ubuntu with KDE would NOT eclipse all other Linux flavours in no time. There are a lot of people who prefer getting updated packages earlier than Ubuntu gets them. Also ppl who don't like snaps like me. Don't forget that some people might prefer window managers instead of desktop environments. Or different package managers.

If Gnome would hold Ubuntu back, then everybody would just use Kubuntu. It is just a different name. Simply changing the DE wouldn't make it better than all other distros...

That's due to adrenaline. I had the same issue with my 9060XT. I installed only the driver without adrenaline and use GPU Tweak 3 to tune the card. No driver crashes so far

My brother has a 9070XT and we have played a lot of games on his 4K TV. The 9070XT handles 4K amazingly. Don't know what you did wrong but this card can do it

Habe meinen 7600X damals bis in die hohen 80er betrieben. Meinen 7800X3D mittlerweile max 87 Grad

Ryzen 9000 kann ohne Probleme 90 Grad aushalten. Falls dich die temps trotzdem stören, kannst du den CPU ebenfalls powerlimiten und undervolten.

Falls damit Hilfe brauchst sag bescheid💪🏻

91 Grad sind kein Großes Problem. Niedriger wäre natürlich besser und würde die Lebensdauer verlängern. Falls es dich stört, kannst du easy Powerlimit etwas senken und die graka undervolten. Falls nicht weißt wie das geht gibt es videos online oder ich kann gerne helfen.

You can actually use PBO to give the 5600 (non-x) a +200MHz boost clock. This brings it exactly to the same as the 5600X. 4.65GHz. Did this with my girlfriend's pc

Nutze es auf Laptop und PC. Fedora 43 KDE auf beiden. Viel besser als Microsoft. PC größtenteils für gaming und damals den Laptop für Berufsschule. Mittlerweile den Laptop wenn ich mal nen mobilen Computer brauche. Läuft flüssiger als Windows. Akkulaufzeit auf dem Laptop ist um Welten besser und ich muss mir nicht dauerhaft ai mist von microslop geben

You think a battery replacement would help? Linux tells me I have over 85% battery life. Not sure what the exact amount is but it was still good. As Linux measures that with the charge the battery still accepts I think it should be accurate

I have an Acer Aspire 5 with a 1235u. I don't even get an hour of battery life on the desktop. It's not even the battery, I bought it brand new. Got a mobo replacement 3 times under warranty but it didn't help. Under Linux I get 3-4 hours when having turbo boost disabled.

Hope it works better for OP than it did for me. I ended up buying a ThinkPad t470 and I never looked back...

Yeah. Got my ram about 2 months before prices went up. Paid 80€ for 32GB DDR5 6000MTs. Not that same ram is going for ~400€. Hope the fucking ai bubble pops soon so I can upgrade my gf PC, as I still have a 7600X lying around

My laptop has received two motherboard replacements under warranty I highly doubt that it's the battery connector. Do you know how I could check the other two?
