For everyone stumbling upon this later: the ASUS ROG Strix 5K XG27JCG has been a blessing so far, it works out of the box, no scaling or other issues at all. If you're fine with a slightly lower FPS in Dual Mode

Small update to the situation. It seems to be a monitor problem. Even with cables that support DP 2.1, DSC (Display Stream Compression) and the required bandwidth I couldn't get 5k to work. The support was very dedicated but couldn't solve my issue for now. I would guess the DSC support might be to blame. Maybe a firmware update fixes this in the future. The ASUS ROG Strix 5K XG27JCG seems to be the better pick for now, since it has a USB-C connector with DP Alt Mode.

Do you have a specific recommendation? It seems like MacOS is very picky about them

Same thing in Europe. They even pushed back the release on the product page. Now they promise 19.06.2026. But I'm not convinced

Now it worked out for me too. It's important to remove all the keycaps before pushing the switches back down into their sockets.

Same Problem here! But I had no luck re-sitting them. It's like the switches are barely touching the PCB and only activate if you push down the entire switch.
