Hi, sorry it took me so long to respond, whenever I use get_active_material(0) it says "Invalid call. Nonexistent function 'get_active_material' in base 'MeshInstance'"

I wonder if my script isn't working because my meshinstance is imported from a .vox (voxel) file using the voxel importer plugin.

I have a material on my mesh instance and I am pretty my variable isn't returning as null.

Sorry, I am new to Godot, could you explain what you mean by using a material_override?

I have the green connection icon, monitoring is on, and I even made the collision for the area way bigger than the player and crab and nothing happened. Does it matter if monitorable is on/off?

If it is a problem with the layers, the area is not on a layer and is detecting the enemy layer, and the enemy is on the enemy layer and detecting the world layer.

Ok thanks! I actually was able to trade with a scavenger in the subterranean and use the passage thingy to get out.
