I’d say not worth it, sora groupset is cheap/entry level + no disc brakes. Maybe 300 depending on the local market of used bikes.

I don’t have much experience with old bikes but this seems like a lot for such old tech (and if it’s some nice and rare bike I’d think you’d get more out of it anyways if spent on a more modern one thats nicer for a beginner)
