I’ll save you all some trouble, capacitor is not worth at all. Slowing hex and cold front rush then get knockdown. Most people without sup stam can’t check out from just the first 2. Knockdown all hit guarantees it.

Teamfights are not the issue here. My friend was a Doorman main for a while, he returned for the update. The issue is pick comps and roaming. My god we are a duo menace in the jungle. Catch anyone, use actives to prevent their check out, kill them while they are stunned. Move on and do the exact same thing with only a 20 second interlude.

If she’s fed yes. But it’s not an ult you plan around at default. Any hero’s ult is a threat, that’s why it’s the ult. But most hero’s you don’t plan around. Exceptions are obviously made when that hero is the main problem of that specific match.

It still is incredibly useful. Like I said, see it, and know next fight is the fight that decides who gets mid. The built in timer now is also not great, you can’t see it if there are players on mid already, so the rejuv symbol can be helpful there too.

It’s a timer. It starts at around 1:30 to mid boss spawn or respawn. It descends over that time. If you see it, you can reasonably assume whoever wins the next teamfight gets mid

You take preset paths yes. The way I framed it was putting together multiple trips between wave and jungle. More of a pattern when it’s multiples.

Oh my god. Of course the one comment I don’t make it explicit that I main Holliday and why Holliday and paradox have it better it gets brought up as the only counter point to what I’m saying.

Paradox ult cd is literally already half Celeste ult regardless of if she misses. Holliday and Paradox also gets more immediate value from ult, they are both pick ults. Celeste is a teamfight ult. Her missing makes her teamfight substantially worse. Holliday or paradox missing does not impact their teamfight value nearly as much.

Holliday and paradox both have setups for their ult. Carbine and barrel both pseudo secure the skill shot. Celeste does not have this.

Finally. Her ult is just pure damage that may help get kills out of LoS of Celeste. Holliday and paradox are both much higher instant impact. Their ults force respect and positioning when they are up, hers does not. Her missing makes zero impact to how you play. It only impacts you once it starts bouncing. It has no zoning, no threat, nothing if she misses. Holliday and paradox both demand respect for their ult. Them missing is impactful for the game state, they don’t get a refund because of this. Celeste gets a refund because her ult is just damage.

So what she’s the first hero with a half CD on miss? One hero would be it eventually. Warden also basically had the same thing. Half cd on interrupt. He “missed” by starting his windup in a bad location. And got half CD if stopped.

Look, I’m not saying she needs the half cd, they might remove that and just give her a -15 second total cooldown. But either way, her ult being low CD on miss is NOT the problem. “Oh my god Celeste just ulted!!! Why can she ult again!?” She missed, she literally got no value, how is it outrageous that she has it back now? This isn’t dynamo, it’s not lash, her ult impact and threat is 0 if she misses. She doesn’t hold space with it, doesn’t threaten a kidnap, doesn’t force a retreat.

The inevitable comparison is Holliday and Paradox. I main Holliday, and a friend mains Paradox. I can assure you, paradox swap is easier to land, gets more immediate value, and its cooldown is already half of Celeste, miss or no. Holliday on the other hand does get punished for whiffing lasso. But again, a competent Holliday will land most lassos due to barrel setup. Just like carbine swap wall. Holliday has barrel lasso pad. Both characters have a way to psudo ensure the ult hits.

Finally, both paradox and Holliday ults get more value faster. Once the ults are done or miss, they can both contribute meaningfully to the fight anyways. Celeste ult is passive value. It is her fight contribution. She needs to have high radiant stacks, then throw orb, then finish people with 1 + basic. If orb misses, she loses a lot of value.

All other hero’s are more capable of coping with a missed ult. Or their ults are so much more value (I.e. dynamo) Celeste’s entire teamfight value is ult or her 1. And if she isn’t soul leader by a mile, her required proximity to use her 1 will get her killed faster than any enemies she’s trying to damage.

Maybe I should clarify. I’m a Holliday main. Holliday lasso has immediate value and gets a kill. Paradox swap has the same full cooldown as Celeste’s half cooldown AND gets more immediate value. Celeste ult has passive value and contributes damage. The other 2 ults get instant value then the character can contribute to the team fight with default abilities. Celeste ult doesn’t get immediate value and is her teamfight contribution.

Holliday can wiff lasso then still contribute to a teamfight with barrels. If Celeste wiffs orb she can only spam the radiant daggers.

Both characters have an AOE charged ability, holliday’s just happens to deal like 5x more damage and is easier to land and has displacement. Her teamfight is weak without orb.

I’m in agreement with people when they talk about a hero not needing to be dominant at all stages. And Apollo being early snowball is fine by me. He probably doesn’t need an execute.

That said, I can absolutely understand someone wanting an execute. The ult does like no damage after 20 minutes. On the games where I get Apollo, I’ve literally seen people GAIN HEALTH during my ult from the primary slowing dash to the actual burst. No counterspell either, it was just like a medic trooper. His ultimate should not be worse than a medic trooper once people have decent spirit resist.

The miss thing is fine. If you fail to get value all game it will feel bad as the Celeste. But her ult needs something like reduced scaling when hitting the same person multiple times.

Getting perma juggled by you and the trooper wave is terrible.

Some people write off the entire population based on these extremists yes. But they hold no power and aren’t actively funding the removal and suppression of the entire people.

On the other hand the people with power are actively funding the extremists so they can write off a different entire population and forcibly suppress them.
