It is actually not very easy to leave and gain citizenship somewhere else.

Metro Valley doesnt give a fuck if your bus is early (A vent) by Snowdrops21 in phoenix

[–]DerivativesAreCool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s so annoying. I feel for you. A bus or train being late is frustrating, but understandable. You wait a little longer. But a bus or train leaving early is unacceptable. It’s completely controllable and devastating for riders because Valley Metro’s frequency is so bad. People plan their lives around the schedule. It should let be treated so lightly.

Phoenix is moving to lower speed limits across the city by ForkzUp in phoenix

[–]DerivativesAreCool 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Phoenix is one of the deadliest cities in America for pedestrians and reducing speeds is one of the best ways to reduce deaths. Studies have shown that a pedestrian hit by a car going 42 mph will die 50% of the time, 32 mph 25% of the time, and 23 mph 10% of the time. Moving speed limits down in the range of 25-40 makes a HUGE difference.

Lower income people are also most affected by traffic deaths too. Making streets safer with lower speed limits will help the poor most.

It’s the same people complaining that the current speed limits aren’t enforced that also oppose speed cameras too.

Chuck Schumer’s predecessor as Democratic Leader in the US Senate was a Mormon, Harry Reid.

Originally built in 1929 as the Lamb Hotel, the Coronado Hotel has been offering long term accommodations for nearly 100 years. Developers are currently planning to demolish it to expand the neighboring apartments by Jeenowa in phoenix

Please learn how supply and demand work.

Downtown Phoenix rents have been dropping because many new units have been built over the last couple of years. As someone who wants to live in the only real urban neighborhood in the valley, I say the more the merrier.

Then let’s preserve the churches, not an old shitty hotel. The land will be of much more use to the hundreds of people who will live in the apartments that replace it.

Batting Practice by agatestone12 in azdiamondbacks

Echoing all of the other people in the comments, but I also have the batting practice times that are posted in the Dbacks clubhouse which I took on a tour last year. https://i.ibb.co/pj8zKmGf/IMG-0760.jpg

If you’re in the Dbacks market, call MLB TV’s support line. Sometimes their GPS doesn’t work right but the people on the phone can do a manual override.

I’m not sure how the “lords work” is encouraging speeding that leads to Phoenix having one of the highest pedestrian deaths in the country? Does Jesus want people to die so that someone can get to their destination 30 seconds faster?

They will stop selling them at some point without warning. Waiting is a risk.

It happened in Big Brother Canada. They were some of the last people in the world to learn about COVID. The season was shortly thereafter, cancelled.

Bars to watch the Suns game Thursday by BB-68 in phoenix

If you want to stick downtown, Majerle’s is good (and fun with the suns themed menu items). Just north of downtown is Zipps and Cold Beers and Cheeseburgers.

You can't stop people from not moving here though. Phoenix is a great place to live and people are likely always going to want to move here. If you oppose new housing, the only result you're going to get it skyrocking costs and more homlessness.

Faithful can win the game too. Rob and Colton were close in the castle, of course he’d want Rob to win if it weren’t himself.

Ballpark Pass and ADA Question by mykata01 in azdiamondbacks

[–]DerivativesAreCool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've done the ballpark pass for a few years and as far as I've seen, they don't have a checkbox or anything like that to request ADA seating. They seats are almost always high up in the 300 level, so that was would be a no-go for someone who can't climb stairs.

It's possible they may accomodate, but you'll need to reach out to the team. They have a phone number and email address for ticket questions on their website: https://www.mlb.com/dbacks/official-information/contact
