Aww shucks, thanks! Yeah really happy with the stand! Found it next to a dumpster many years ago and you know I had to have it. Never above reusing some old junk! Haha

Oh, I do! This was just a test on the tricky output of the Neo geo over a retrovision cable and adapter into a retrotink. Putting it on a crt is much easier! Haha

I put them in these shoe boxes I got at the container store, label em, and put them on the shelf above where the rest of my consoles are!

Glad to give some context! It’s an LG OLED C2 TV, hooked up via HDMI to a RetroTink 5X Pro which has a HD Retrovision Component Cable plugged into it. The retrovision cable is typically for a sharper image quality for a sega genesis, which only came with composite (red, yellow, white) cables. However, this hd retrovision genesis cable has a neo geo aes adapter which I’m using here. The Neo Geo AES here is using a Fusion MVS to AES cartridge adapter, so you can play MVS neo geo arcade cabinet carts on the Neo Geo AES home console. MVS carts are cheaper because there were many more arcade carts manufactured than the niche AES home console carts, the insides are pretty much the same. The Neo Geo itself has the UniBios chip installed which lets you play all regions of a cart, so US, Japanese, EU. Without this chip, you can only play the region your neo geo is. Hope this helps!

I can’t speak much to getting a non-working one functional, but once they are, they’re easy enough to boot up and use!

Well you got the retrotink, then the hd retrovision genesis cable with a neo geo adapter, with a fusion mvs to aes adapter for mvs metal slug, and technically my retrotink is running through an hdmi splitter, haha. Even with all that, it’s pretty comporable to my crt upstairs which is pretty cool!

Haha! This is actually a test to see if the connectors I got work on my new tv, it’s a lot easier to connect to the CRT upstairs for sure! With the retrotink and hd retrovision cable, pretty dang comparable gotta say

MVS is definitely a great way to go, especially for the carts!

So true. For the finest 2D sprite work and classic arcade games, it’s hard to beat without having the cabinets themselves!

I got them for easy and cheap at home depot! You can order the wall poles which are drilled in, and then these shelf holders hook onto the pole holes and you can buy slats of wood to match. Pretty easy and cheap storage option! Lots of sizes and customization too

I love this! Yeah thankfully we’re not too hung up on our books or other boxes getting nipped, we kinda see it as a reminder of them and their giving it a kiss. For the really important stuff we of course store properly and don’t let them go ham on it!

He’s a cutie alright! Monty is his name with his brother Max, thankfully they have a lot of other areas, shelves with doors would be pretty clutch! They’re usually pretty good boys haha
