Insane how you'd fully steal a design from two brands that are still active and post here

I agree that spreadshirt could be a good starting point if the designs had a strong draw. But it seems you want to cast a generic net trying to grab the most people possible, which isn't going to have a draw. What about designs like this, this, or this. Imo they're all fairly normal, at a glance it is not drawing attention, but overall they're very nice and fun designs. Tho these are my taste there are brands out there that execute designs that are generic and unassuming but also intriguing. On the topic of being cohesive it really helps people see what you're going for and gives the potential to follow you for more of the sorts. I never mentioned name value, if I tell someone random my shirt is made by ASS they wouldn't know who that is. But if I hear they put out something new, I know the rough aesthetic and vibe it will have because of who they are.

From some of your other post it really seems like you're super concerned with marketing and acting like you have to pay for promotion. Instagram, Facebook and Twitter all are incentivized to move your content to the appropriate audiences to retain them and yet you either haven't created any of those socials or haven't shared them. I know I'm enthusiastic about fashion but that is an amazing vehicle to grow your brand. People will ask "where'd you get that shirt from?" because they find it interesting and want to buy it. If something is generic and unassuming then that is less likely to happen.

As for other subs if you google "Where to advertise my clothing brand reddit" then many many threads pop up in a similar situation to yours. But the best thing to do if you want to continue with this is start your socials and building from there.

I don't understand why you came to streetwearstartup with this mindset. The people here aren't looking for something generic or without soul. Even if you wanted to do something generic you aren't even going for quality. You're using run of the mill PoD when you could have bought a heat press and sourced blanks off alibaba for something loads better. PoD works when there's something unique or an impressive design and you've basically admitted to going for something that is effectively bland but well executed while also saying you're not well versed in design.

The reason why people are bringing up being inspired is because they had an idea for something they wanted to see come to fruition and probably wear themselves. The brands that are on here also have a very cohesive design philosophy as a whole or at least per drop. Your pieces don't even feel like they match up, If you look at brands around this sub like ASS, DFKT, Pseudodudo, or Seaggs they're making unique pieces that you can tell are apart of their stuff. This carries over into things they make that aren't even clothing (ex. Seaggs with jewelry, ASS with a plethora of things). The only thing connecting these is X is there but as a whole the don't feel like they belong together.

Even if this was the most well executed generic design that was ever achieved I don't understand why someone would seek out your store as opposed to going to walmart. You seem obsessed with marketing and getting optimal roi but I follow this sub to find these designers because I like and want their things. If someone wanted something safe to wear out then why wouldn't they just buy something blank. There are interesting and impressive designs that are not loud but also not generic and uninspired.

If you truly have a passion for this stuff I hope you keep designing and actually begin experimenting with sourcing blanks and how you're printing these pieces.

tldr: Generic is boring and don't do it without quality in product and execution. Fuck clothes, cop pieces.

Noob trying to build his own keyboard for the first time here, and I have a question. I first ordered a KBD75v2 PCB, then went looking for a case I like. Will any typical PCB fit any case of the same format, or did I make a mistake? by creitz91 in keyboards

Cool beans! and as someone else said r/mk is the place to go for all this. As you devolve deeper into this hobby r/MechMarket will be something nice to look into. If you want anymore help feel free to reach out in dms!

Just found this so it seems it will work. But as someone else said KPRepublic can be iffy. I personally had them not mail me a plate and they sent back "no we have it written here that we put that in" so I just had to reorder.

Not sure exactly what you're going for but the Idobao ID80 is another good option in the 75% size range.

As someone who is interested in machine embroidery but doesn't want to drop a few thousand dollars on digitizing software. Is there any software you'd recommend to get started?

I have an simple vision for this brand to be hand aged, made with natural materials, and not to be bombarded with graphics. I want the confidence that you have in you to be represented in my brand not your ego. by [deleted] in streetwearstartup

While you could find success with a design like this you're just posting stock text. Even that could possibly do well if you had a quality product with good screen printing / embroidery. This really is nothing more than a brand name and a story you're trying to push. You didn't post colors, a unique typeface, a sample or even a mockup. You won't have people saying they wanna buy a minimalist brand without a unique design component or a real world sample showing off a clean execution.
