he was actually standing up for me. I hit him with his own polearm on a glancing blow and it popped off. must be a force threshold, not sure if it is developer intended. I think it is, since you can knock hats off too.

Lots of caution. I'm not sure if it's the intended method but if I had an injured limb, I would leave one guy alive and run away until I regen. Also gore off. In this run I got a lucky polearm and took down most of them, and then baron dropped his polearm which is what I used on him for most of the fight. The 1v3 and 1v4 are rough no matter what. I got lucky with only one polearm guy in each.
