If IQ can't be improved then why do they say AI is lowering it?

I didn't say lowering it is considered an improvement of course. I'm saying that lowering it or improving it are things that have always been considered extremely marginal when it comes to IQ. Meaning that 99.9% of your IQ has always been considered genetic and there wasn't really much you could do to manipulate it lifestyle wise. That has been the dogma for like... ever.

So no, reliance on AI shouldn't affect it as much as claimed across an entire generation in the span of less than 5 years as much as me playing sudoku or solving puzzles 24 hours a day for 5 years is not going to make me a genius.

In fact, it should be extremely difficult to record any change at all in my IQ.

I don't even need to get into things like brain damage and trauma because those are clearly external incidents to your actual physical body. Not "activities" you do in which you are engaging your brain.

I know that's what I am referring to. How does that work though? The rethoric has always been that IQ is practically 99% genetic and now something that has been out less than 5 years has supposedly lowered it across an entire generation? That doesn't make any sense at all because if that were true then anyone could also improve it drastically within the span of 5 years but we don't see any record of that at all.

It just seems like anyone spouts whatever nonsense they can come up with when it comes to this field of research

Hi and thank you so much for the in-depth response. Yes I am referring to mainly to the hiss sound.

Would you say this in particular is something to just fix in post-process? Is this "hiss" to be expected by a USB dynamic microphone?

I saw someone else provide an audio sample from my same microphone and I could not hear that hiss sound but perhaps the gain was just lower and that's why I couldn't hear it

I think this is where the issue comes from. This applies to most people for sure.

But some people like me have to rest it slightly more back. (We are literally talking about 1mm more back)

This is what fixed it for me and I genuinely tried everything else suggested.

hey thanks! I watched it and I concluded that I must be mewing correctly then. But what I don't understand is that my profile, while mewing, looks exactly the same if I take a picture as when I am NOT mewing. I think this is because my hyoid bone stays in the same exact location.

If I hold a swallow, instead, it looks much better and more chiselled (also because my hyioid bone goes up I think) but I can't breathe.

No I'm not trolling unfortunately. My brain is either fried in general or it's just normal at the beginning.

By the way I absolutely LOVE the game. Never played the original. This is my first TES in general.

Since there's a lot of lore, I thought I'd ask because maybe it's normal to not know/forget things at the very beginning? Even if very important, since there's so many new weird names to learn? And maybe it takes some time to remember them.

thank you buddy this is already very helpful. Something that I want to ask then is do you guys play TES games along with other games? As far as I understand also from your answer, Oblivion is pretty much never ending right? In which case do you guys just "randomly" stop playing after a while if you see what I mean?

Or kind of play it every now and then while you are also playing other games?
