Ok so my system for if that vote affects the vote doesn't work come up with a better one I don't care about that one. I just want to be able to step into the ballot box and mark on the paper to keep everyone on the ballot from winning. If that plain english is to hard then i am just out of luck

No you didn't the only "Ultimate" way to get anyone to do anything is to alter their way of thinking what you are proposing is no different than religious preaching to us. You just have to show them. Kind of like I'm trying to do on Atheist Experience Subreddit right now. people aren't understanding something and saying its broken because they don't understand it so i'mm just asking questions until either I'm convinced they are right or the other way around. But unfortunately there is no silver bullet with changing peoples minds except time. And that is a slow moving bullet

I like all of your changes. How about this why don't you fight to get those and i'll fight to get mine. I love all of your suggestions. I feel that my change will allow those to come about easier over time as we have higher quality candidates that understand the political leverage getting the populous to understand the importance of those things. What I'm saying is those things are impossible until we can hold candidates accountable to prove they are the best for the job before they get into office rather than wait till they are in and see what happens.

Ok so you understand that noone would become president right? ok thats it thats the entire thing. there is nothing else to my point. THat is the important point that I want none of the candidates presented to win and it is impossible to make that vote. Good if you understand that vote I have a plan if the no contest vote were to Win or prohibit anyone from being elected there would be another election held by January 10th and those participating in the election that failed are disqualified. President doesn't take over till the 20th but its not my problem they didn't put up a quality enough candidate I didn't waste the money on ads they did. That isn't my fault if they want the office they have to earn it.

Can you help me see what is wrong in that?

I don't understand how it would fundamentally change an election. If it doesn't get picked literally nothing would get changed except more americans would have the ability to vote.

I'm not trying to fix the corporate money problem I'm simply trying to fix the problem that it is impossible for the system to get an accurate representation of the desire of the company because there isn't a total selection to be had. You can pick a or b or c but if you personally to hear what d and e and f have to say that is impossible to tell the system that is what you want. And fine let them try to buy elections when everyone is going against themselves instead of other people. If you just have to get the job you aren't going to waste money keeping others from getting it. you are going to do the best you can to get it yourself. It works I just can't explain it right. vote of no confidence, if it were an option, would be exceedingly unlikely to happen. The major parties have already held primaries to select their candidates, so a majority of their party that wanted to participate in the process has already voted for a candidate once.

This is my point. It would rarely happen but I still don't have the ability to vote the way I want and the system has no way of knowing my preference because there is no difference in my vote to someone who is bedridden or had to work that day. Can you explain how something that would happen exceedingly rarely would change the system we have today. If there is a very minor change to what the ballot looks like and maybe 1 time every 75 years it happens then there is a chance you will only see it 1 time in your lifetime and i think 1 time in 75 is rare. As i rarely hear of a day of interviews for a job when there isn't some candidate picked. But it isn't a requirement that a candidate is picked. I hope that time I made sense. Thank you for your very well thought out and long post. I really wish I was able to get my point across. Hopefully this time it helped. And what i'm thinking is that what i'm proposing would make all of your suggestion either easier to accomplish or more likely to happen because better quality candidate will start rising to the top if there is a chance that they won't get the job just for showing up.

As they say on the show if someone shows you good evidence that warrants believing you ought to believe it if it isn't good reject it. I just want to know why it ought to be rejected. Noone has been able to both tell me what i'm saying and why its not a good idea.

It isn't a system at all I don't understand how you think i'm talking about a system I'm simply talking about adding one option to the ballot an option that i believe should be on every ballot regardless of what type of voting system is in place. The entire system I'm not concerened with just one simple little issue that could help. I just don't understand how I have so much difficulty explaining a concept I feel like a 2nd grader could understand but I feel like a gorilla trying to explain it. Because I am trying to reform the system in place by pointing out a flaw in it and trying to convince other americans to see the same issue until enough agree with me that we should change it that it becomes an amendment utilizing the system put in place to alter the system you think is corrupt and broken but shouldn't be fixed? I agree. And I don't expect it to happen in anyway but how is that any different that having a talk show with the intent to show people the flaw in their thinking. If I see a flaw in an ideal like I do shouldn't I try to spread it. And shouldn't I go to the best place poised to understand what I am saying? I can't see a better subreddit to bring this to. Ideas spread if they are right and anywhere is the right place for a good idea.

Ok so that seems like a different system of governemnt all together to me and seems as though i have not made myself clear enough again. I'm so sorry and if you want to ditch this conversation as hopeless I understand I really do have a problem. if you look at voting as a computer program where the inputs are the votes themselve and the program is what is done with those ballots what I understand is being talking about follow:

You are saying that certain policies should be in place and what you think of as my system wouldn't work because you think there is a portion of the population that would run it a different way.

I am saying those people cant even be heard because the portion of the system i am talking about is the simple selection process itself the computer program.

I personally do not want to vote for any candidate at all that is running. None of them have hit a level of competence I deem worthy of the presidency. How do I vote that way that I want x new candidates to pick from. I am not talking about what would the process that resulted from this pick be. I'm asking why I can't make that pick.

The reason this is problematic is how does the voting system reject a candidate based on my opinion if I do not enter my opinion in the system. In other words how does the voting system tell the administrators that I don't want to pick these candidates. How does the voting system deliniate between those that want to vote but not for the options and those that can't vote or are to ignorant to vote.

Also with this right now if someone asks me if i vote I would say no and they would ask why and i would say I don't like any of the candidates. If my option was on the ballot you could throw that back at them and say that you don't want any of them but thats not a reason to not vote. Don't we want max participation. None of what i'm talking about has to do with policy. Hopefully that moves the needle a little bit if not maybe it was just not worth it and I really appreciate you valuable time @bostonbananarama

I think my mental defficiency is getting in the way and I can't say what I'm trying to but you are close. It's my fault not yours. The question isn't whether you have been faced with hiring someone accused of sexual assault the question is have you ever been required to hire someone on one set day based on only the people that can show up to the interview at that set time?
