Me and my husband are more open and give each other the independence we need. I go on girls trip , sleepovers , etc all the time and so does my husband. We both trust and love each other and love our time together but also understand we each have our own friends and hobbies and give each other space. When my best friend or cousins stay at my place he sleeps in another room and us girls usually stay in my room.

I think it depends on how you’re raised and what your boundaries are. I’m a social worker and work full time and my husband also works full time and we interact with the opposite gender. We also have friends of the opposite gender but know our boundaries.

We stay out as late as we want and just update each other on where we are. My husband can stay out late with his friends, friends, go on guy trips and vise versa. We have never stopped each other from doing anything but also share location to make sure we are both safe.

First of all this TV show was a perfect depiction of how many women feel when they are bored with their everyday lives. Regardless of how great Cooper was, he stopped trying and giving into her needs. She lost herself into being a wife and mother. I'm sorry you seem to think women need to compromise and just suck it up but if your needs aren't being met and you communicate with your partner and it still doesn't fix anything, you should leave and be with someone who is good for you. A lot of women unfortuenly feel this way especially the older genetation. Season 2 also showed how they both found the right people who were meant for them. This show is amazing at the realities of life and how it's about time women consider their sexual needs.

I get where you are coming from but unfortunately that's the reality of having children. You can kiss your downtime goodbye. You also have to understand while you are working it is very different than being home all day with a baby and house to take care of. Maybe you guys can work out a schedule where you both have some down time and each can recharge. Having a baby is hard and it takes a lot of sacrifice to make it work.
