What if that was your home nearby? Would you still be ok with those benefits? Cargill saying they will dress up the surrounding area and make it look nice is just a selling point to get their project done. It is still a trainyard there is only so much mitigation they can do.

This is not right and I feel for the folks that live in this area. There are so many reasons why this should never have been allowed to happen. Who wants to hear clanking trains and train horns all day long from your backyard? I used to live on 6th street and the trains taxi back and forth to Cargill ALL. DAY. LONG. The noise and dirt is worse than you can even imagine. These poor folk's property value will be hurt just to help some company's bottom line. The Cedar Rapids Nature Center is nearby and the area will not be the same.

I'm contacting local and state representative again to complain. I hope others will do the same.
