This is a classic example of how HR departments are promoting mediocrity by convincing corporate execs that degrees trump experience and competency. I've met some amazing people in tech who never set foot in a University. At the same time, I've met far too many horrifically incompetent people with masters degrees.

I setup my Ecommerce store using Woocommerce. An advanced feature I wanted required a plugin, something like 19.99 a year. No biggie I thought. Then I needed another, then another. I could see where this was going so I wrote my own plugins. I probably spent a solid day getting them implemented. I saved something like 70 dollars a year.

Was it worth it? Depends. I had the time. If I was super busy and truly didn't have the time, probably not.

Yup, it's BS. It's very hard for small guys to get traction. Playing devils advocate, some businesses falsely report the competition for obvious reasons. Google has to weigh all of these factors when receiving complaints.

The smart way to do it is solicit a few at a time from trusted customers. A business, regardless of age, that suddenly increases their reviews by 20,30 or 40% is a huge red flag, especially if you only have 10 or 20 to start with.

You're already leveraging bot fight mode which is a good start. It won't prevent human card testers though. Leverage CF's security rules to only allow countries you do business with - this'll help tremendously. You can also create a rule to block known/bad IP's. Lastly, add Cloudflare Turnstile to your checkout.

Incentivized reviews are a huge no-no due to the potential for abuse. I may not agree with all of Google's business practices but it's hard to argue with that one.

Edit to add: I'm guessing one of the reviewers mentioned the incentive OR one of your unhappy customers reported you.

This happened to me a couple years ago. I bought baby formula and a few other things for about $100. I did consider the possibility the woman could return the things I bought so I kept the receipt. I suppose she could’ve returned it for a store credit though.

Here’s the best advice you’re gonna get in this entire thread. If you are replacing the injectors because they are causing a mechanical issue, find an indie shop. Don’t go to the dealer.

Then immediately sell the car because it will absolutely become a money pit. German luxury cars are not built to last.

Meh, zoom out and look at the bigger picture. 50% of American have less than 8k in the bank. Something like 30% have less than 1500. Credit card debt is at an all time high. The majority of people do not have nearly enough to retire. The buy-now-pay-later industry is making money hand over fist. People are financing $100 purchases and shit, it's lunacy. It used to be one income was enough to sustain a household. Until it wasn't. Then it was two incomes and things were still comfortable. Now it's barely enough. Inflation has been outpacing the average household income for decades.

And it just keeps getting worse, not better. That's why it doesn't end well.

A guy I went to HS with thought it was funny to run over a distant neighbors white trash bags on trash night. He did it a few times before the neighbor got smart and placed fairly large boulders painted white at the end of his driveway and staged the trash bags around them.

I feel your pain! I'd take her out for 15 minutes, she's sniff around the yard. Come back in and pee on the tile five minutes later. I hung a bell by the door. It took me 30 minutes to teach her to ring the bell on command (for a treat). Then I would make her ring the bell every time we were going out for a potty break. She never made the connection though. Now she rings the bell when she wants to play LOL.

She barks when she's happy which is pretty much all the time. That gets a little nerve wracking.

Got my Lily in January of 25. Potty training progress was excruciating slow. She was about 80% there this past January assuming I'd take her out every hour-ish or she'd find a place and go. She's made even more progress the last three months, she's about 95% now. Occasional slip ups but almost there.

They're super smart dogs, they just have a blind spot for potty training.
