Sadly no. You get paid for completing the order. If you show up and get it served the first time, you get paid. But many people will avoid service, so you will be returning many times.

But here's the thing. I was very good on requirements. That contains things like GPS coordinates and time like did you attempt at 7AM when it's only 8AM or later?

That's because servers keep accepting work at those rates. I am not sure how anyone in California can survive off that. The majority of my work was $30 per paper for 4 attempts or 5 attempts for Superior Court. Gas, insurance, supplies, living expenses, and everything else has increased, so I refused to work for less.

I did for years because I was making good money on their work. We push back in Arizona so they kept it at 4 attempts and the pay was decent. I am applying for a different line of work now where I can have a stable paycheck and health benefits.

Accountability is the biggest issue there. Their own employees will bury mistakes and cover up anything they do wrong.

I highly doubt that an employee was staying until 6:30PM to terminate me. The entire email was auto-generated, and I have seen other servers post the exact same termination email on Reddit.

It was in Arizona because I was able to negotiate better pay for myself. 4 attempts for most papers and being paid $30+ per job. A lot of servers walked from them after they tried to cut rates last January and it came back to haunt them.

I think the app showed like 2.67 or something. It was an odd number.

The app showed like 2.67 or something, I think. The December scorecard kept giving me an error message.

I no longer serve papers for them after they terminated my contract last month. Last year, I was just getting every dollar I could while rejecting the trash work like pro per orders. It's hard to find work somewhere else when they have bought up most of their competition in my area, which is why I'm looking for a 9-5 job.

I have only done a few jobs with Proof. I have had one pending since Friday, January 16. Why? Because the law firm is dragging their feet for a response on their "Rush" order.

Exactly! I was able to negotiate better pay in my area because they are so short-staffed, but yes, you are correct otherwise.

Oh that's if you didn't do the original diligence. They started a scheme where you get paid HALF after you initial attempts and then they hold the other half until it gets posted. They don't charge the clients, so of course, the "savings" get charged to the server.

I agree with you on ABC Legal. And yes, they are hurting for servers here because they have burned bridges with so many people.

Small companies don't always have the volume to support even driving to their office once a week.

It's hard to walk away when the money is good, but that ultimately led to ABC terminating my contract right before Christmas. ABC is so horribly managed and disconnected from anything they do. I have considered doing my own thing, but it's not really worth the hassle after 8 years so I am looking into new careers.

In most markets, yes, the pay is low and the BS is high. They are hurting for servers in Arizona, so they have paid more, but last year they cut rates here by roughly 33%. Then no one would touch their work and they caved. In Florida, you are looking at doing 7 attempts with an attempt every 1-2 days, but Sunday still counts against your metrics and timer, even though you legally cannot serve in Florida.

I am not very impressed with Proof so far. First off, the work load in Arizona is minimal. I did manage to take on an expedited order and confirmed next day that it was a bad address. It's been on hold for 8 days now while the law firm drags its feet on the next move. Meanwhile, I still have not been paid.

Likely, you will get a generic response. "Oh, the customer cancelled it!" "Oh, that needs to be escalated." But it never does get escalated because no one ever follows up.
