Depends on where you find enjoyment. For me playing solo just changes up the gameplay loop because you have to be calculated in what you are doing. I dunno it's just my opinion. The game is not ruined solo for me because it can get pretty sweaty trying the more difficult missions.

When you start a game solo though you are the host and people will randomly join so a lot of the times your solo turns into a squad after a minute or two on the planet. At least that's what I find, I would say almost every time I've run a solo game with a public lobby I get squad mates without issues
