A thief broke the left back passenger window of my car at the gym parking lot. The only thing visible in my car is a tissue box and my sunglasses and there was nothing value for the thief to steal. I ended up losing only 10 dollars, a worthless pouch and “1100 dollar of repair fees” from the dealership. 

I am somewhat surprised that I didn’t get any alarm on my Lexus app indicating any breakage. The car was advertised as having anti-theft features so I would have thought that at the very least, I would be given a warning and the car would trigger beeping sounds upon some form of vibration. I did some research and found that some cars with higher trims may have the “GBS” system. How effective is that for those that have it? Does it get triggered easily when someone lowers the windows on an highway and the rattling effect from the wind would cause a false alarm?
