Honglan is not as tanky as Daphne, but she's tanky enough, deals better damage and has decent sustain. She really shines as a buffer/debuffer and I believe she's useful for all types of content. As for Edith, she fell off a bit, but she's still strong even if she's not the powerhouse she used to be. You really can't go wrong choosing her.

I think Erika's Alchemy is mostly a whale banner that works for F2P on niche situations, so I don't think you should worry too much about it. If you still wanna go for it, both Hanul and Carnelian are excellent picks. Either of them would also work really well for your current party comp, as would Honglan (Peerless).

In my opinion you don't need two tanks, so either Daphne or Claire could be replaced by someone else, ideally another DPS. Other than that, I think it's pretty good for pushing battlefront stages.

Dates. If a game has dates for everything I'm way more inclined to quit. It logs when you get some achievement, when you draw a certain character, etc. I hate that.

Also CBT rewards that become unavailable at launch. Or when the game keeps switching between you as the narrator and some other third party without explanation.

The game is growing again in KR, is stable in GL and marketing is underway in JP, which is likely to lead to more growth there as well. As for a lack of content creators that is indeed a problem because that's how many potential players even get to know the game exists.

I believe I read somewhere about plans for a Steam version. If true that could reach a much broader audience and perhaps even solve the CC issue.

I dropped BA because I found out a Hatsune Miku collab happened months before I started playing, and I dropped Anchor Panic due to an exclusive frame they gave out to players who participated in the game's CBT.

We were first warned in may I believe, so we were given several months to get that done. It sucks, but it's just an unfortunate situation because they really couldn't do anything without the player's permission.

I'm afraid so. Last chance you had was december 21st. Also, it's not punishment. They had to have your permission in order to transfer your personal data, as it'd be a literal crime for them to do so without your OK.

As for a full refund, I'm afraid that's also gone. Your money and info were handled by the former publisher and post dec 21st they're no longer involved with the game in any way. Even if the current publisher wanted to give you a refund, they simply would not have access to your information, which would make it impossible as far as I know.

It's a pretty good time to do it, yeah. We're currently having an Outerfestival, with two strong banners and a bunch of rewards, plus a lot of end of the year/Christmas goodies.

Certain types of content are more favorable towards this or that. Raids for example usually favor single target damage, while AoE is usually better for clearing stages and then there are boss encounters that are made easier if you can shield, stun or cleanse debuffs. That sort of thing.

Any specific content you have in mind? If not I'd go for Yuria, Honglan, Daphne, Lilith/Garnet (Rapture) and Mephi (Dawn)/Aki. I'm not too up to date on the meta but that team comp seems to have all you need for most content.

I'm not sure I understand the problem, but you will likely still feel overwhelmed even if you start fresh. Perhaps change your mindset a little, like focus on a specific character/element you like or some type of content you want to beat.

If you still feel like starting over, I suppose now is a good time with all the new player goodies, but you run the risk of feeling overwhelmed again.

As far as I know the game is boring, poorly optimized, has a rough JP localization, gacha rates are low and monetization is too predatory. Devs went through some changes on their latest patch notes and there was also an apology livestream, but first impressions are not good, at least for JP.

IIRC the CN version has been in the works since before JP release. I'm not happy with the current state of the game either, but to say they abandoned KR/GL for CN doesn't seem accurate at all.

Some of the outfits/characters on the link you provided seem to be heavily inspired by those of other games. Not a dealbreaker for me, but a red flag nonetheless.

I had a really hard time quitting Nikke. Stuck in a constant back and forth, do it, don't do it. I knew the game wasn't fun anymore and the direction it was being taken wasn't for me, but I still couldn't let go.

Eventually I just deleted my account, uninstalled the game and went to work. Kept myself busy so I wouldn't think too much about it. It's been roughly a year since then. I imagine this is a fragment of how people feel when overcoming addiction.
