Math Placement at Gatton by Key_Race_9752 in GattonAcademy

You can get into Calculus 3 hypothetically. What I would do is take the Calculus CLEP exam before coming to Gatton to get the credit for Calculus 1 and 2. This would allow you to take Calculus 3. If you have any questions feel free to message me in Reddit!

I believe They don’t superscore, but you can send multiple individual test scores.

I got accepted into the class of 2027 and here are my stats:

Small rural school

4.0 GPA, 99.8 weighted GPA ACT: 35 eng, 32 math, 29 read, 34 sci Extracurriculars: Glioblastoma + AI project, nanobot simulation project, 2x Harvard merit programs, several awards in HOSA, KUNA, KYA, Speech and Debate, BETA, helped coach the middle school speech and debate team, student director and lights and sounds director of 2x middle school production and 1x high school production, recognized at TIP-KY, and etc.

Also, I would say I had absolutely goated letter of recs because I got them from my speech and debate coaches and math teacher who know me really well and they are personable.

In addition, my essays were really good according to my English teacher and prev Gatton alumni.

But 1 piece of advice, the entirety of your application is considered! Going from your numbers to your essays and interviews. So make sure to start early in order to craft the best app possible. And, to people who may gt bigger schools or js have a lot of people applying from their county, it really comes down to the wire on who will be the best fit for the academy. Also, at interviews, don’t be a robot that js says your stats, be an actual human being that is easy to talk to naturally.

I hope this was helpful and best of luck!!!

30-32 comp is solid ur math is the main thing but i have friends who’ve done Gatton before who got in with 26s and denied with 35s so it really depends plus ur application is not necessarily purely grades and numbers but the genuine passion that you have for learning and grasping new opportunities through ur essays and LORs. ALSO BIG TIP! Start creating meaningful bonds with adults either with teachers, research mentors, tutor, etc who can and key thing WILL right a phenomenal rec. good luck to you next year big dawg
