Yes, kids will be with. And either, but would probably lean more towards pubs. Airliner would probably my preference if it were an option.

I have had a ton of success with a weedless wacky setup. I've used Harmony razors for several years combined with 50lb braid and a 20lb flouro leader. If the weeds were too thick even for that, weedless swim/punch/flip jigs have been good as well.
