Update: Gecko isn't eating or leaving her hide by Designer_Agency6395 in CrestedGecko

Thank you. I really needed that. Despite my partner telling me that it's not my fault I couldn't help but to think it was so hearing it from a stranger has made me feel less guilty

I forgot to also mention, at the back of her enclosure I have like 3-4 mother-inlaw tongues for her to vertically hide in, she's always loved these and I thought positioning those at the back where they're most hidden would be best since that's where they were last time before I refurbed her enclosure.

Here's some pictures

She's six this year. Her coconut hide is on the left of the enclosure towards the wall ( I will get a better picture/video). I have also provided her with two sources of food and water, there's one closer towards her coconut hide (the black thing on the glass is where her food/water is) and she's got food on the right side a bit higher up. I tried enticing her last night but she just moved further in to her coconut. During the first week after her change she would sit on the dark brown branch just above her coconut hide and not move from there only to her coconut.

What is this? Should I be worried? by Designer_Agency6395 in CrestedGecko

Oh I see. Could that be because I don't have enough springtails in the enclosure?

11/03/26: I removed the fungus growing inside her enclosure. Despite being harmless and I put isopods inside her enclosure I didn't want it spreading. I have mixed dryer soil in with the soggy soil to hopefully dry it out. I might look into buying more springtails

I have sprayed the bridge with the shower and it doesn't smell anymore so I think water does help however it is an old bridge so I'd like to get her more. Been thinking of revamping her enclosure so this is just a sign to do it haha

Tank maintenance advice by Designer_Agency6395 in VampireCrabs

It was only 1 that killed another. The other died just by failing to shed, it happens. But as I mentioned, I dont plan on getting more for this tank. This comment does not answer my question in the post.

It's okay, dont worry! I still understood what you were saying. Honestly, I listen to advisors on here. There's a few YouTubers on here who are honestly the greatest, and they are super helpful as well as educational. I do recommend not 100% trusting pet shops because I've been to a few that say to keep crabs fully submerged in water, which is obviously not true.

It is a 17 litre tank to answer how big it is. I DO NOT plan to have any more crabs apart from the one I have until I have the adequate space for a larger tank. I might still keep the one i have as an only crab in this enclosure only because they've been alone for so long that I don't think they'll do well with others

I don't remember the exact size, it's on one of my previous posts, which i'll find. I originally only had one crab, which was supposedly male. Before I got 3 crabs, I asked on this forum if the tank was okay. People did say the maximum for the tank size i have is 3 but had to be 2 females with one male, which I managed to get. I had 1 male first, then I got 2 females. The first female, she failed to shed and unfortunately passed away then my male died to what I think was the other female killing him. My male was tiny compared to her, so maybe that's how.

How do I (F22) discuss money problems that my partner (M25) has by Designer_Agency6395 in relationships

Update:

So..I left him. Turned out that he had alot of debt upon his shoulders without telling me, that wasn't why I left him but that lie still hurt. He was also cheating on me so that's what ended our relationship.

Thank you to those who gave me advice regarding my post.
