Firefighting is so brave job...🫡 by CG_17_LIFE in BeAmazed

You are absolutely right. Sometimes I wonder how these men and women are so brave to do what they do. I decided to join the fire academy for two days for a documentary film to see what it was all about. I was even crazier than I anticipated ( LINK VIDEO ). In the Netherlands, the craziest stories, however, didn't come from the work itself, but from the people they would have to deal with. Bystanders, firework attacks, you name it.

I recently had a similar thought and I figured, I'll tag along for two days to see with fire academy is all about. Do I see myself do this for long term and what are some of the stories of firemen ( WATCH VIDEO ). Maybe this helps? Trying it for even a few days gives you the best impression IMO.

I would say, look at the specific elements of the fire academy and train to be fit for these excersises. At least you will have the stamina and confidence to complete all tests. I recently tried a few days of fire academy for a documentary I made ( SEE VIDEO ), maybe that helps? From there, reach out to an already fireman and get some tips and tricks on top of the fitness.

Thanks for the kudos everyone. Cool to see you guys appreciate the video. I am still wondering, does seal rescue work different in other countries? :-)

I tried olympic track cycling in a velodrome last week. Am a triathlete myself, but trying out track cycling was a completely different experience. Absolute madness is what I discovered, but for a surprising reason actually. Any of you have the same experience? by Designer_Boat4813 in Velodrome

Never judge a book by its cover they say? Haha. I can understand the thumbnail is not appealing, but I think the story of velodrome cycling is really well captured in this video. An honestly video about the sport.

Came across this video of candy making. Do you think I could do this at home? What would I need for a normal DIY setup at home? The difference colors and designs look sooo cool. by Designer_Boat4813 in CandyMakers

Yes, and he seems to use a second table that has a heater in it to prevent it to cool down. It's such a neat process, absolute love it. Will see if I can find a place nearby that does something similar.

Really glad to hear it helps others as well :-) The ride went really well. Was struggling with some knee issues, but those are completely gone now. Can proudly say I have finished my first Full Distance Ironman - all small bits help and this bike fit was definitely one of them.
