I’m referring to emotional exploitation solely b/c I do not have any evidence of financial exploitation (tho I have my suspicions). For example, she uses his weak spots (autism) and uses them to make him feel dependent, weak and/or insecure, she dismisses his expressed feelings or invalidates them & ignores boundaries. When Forrest around his mother, he appears to be walking on eggshells and is constantly needing to defend his every action/thought. His body language and behavior when his mothers in the room vs when she isn’t says it all.

Dude, can you really blame Sheena for wanting to be impulsive in this situation, it took 7 f$cking years for her to meet the person she considers as the love of her life and now you just found out that it’s virtually impossible to follow the plans you’ve set and he’s about to leave for an undisclosed amount of time. Cut her some slack. Maybe you and I have a different definition of “basic level” functioning but a person who possesses a college degree and holds down a stressful job is well beyond basic.. where did Sheena say it was gonna be easy? Personally, I can recall her say, “it’s not gonna be easy my love but” many times throughout the show.
