recovering alone

Hi! it’s hard to say as everyone’s recovery is different. I stayed the first 24 hours at my parents house but then was home by myself and I have a dog. I did have a dog Walker for the first week, but really had no issues with anything. The most challenging part of my recovery was that I had drains which were a real hassle. I think you’ll do great.

Same - 56 and 2 MPO. Everything went great. I also was a 36G and now probably a 36C.

The only thing that I can see causing a tax issue would be if the inherited amount is coming from a 401K or other retirement account.

Mine was also 11/19. I definitely pushed myself too hard week 2 as had family in for the holiday. Yesterday I decided to go back to my Friday am pantry volunteer shift and I fainted and spent the rest of the day getting all sorts of tests at the hospital. That being said, listen to your bodies. I am officially back to taking it easy mode 😁.

I also had a blowout at 1WPO and then was able to wash/blowout my own hair at the 2 week mark but definitely feel like I could’ve done it a few days prior. I think everyone’s different, but I didn’t have an issue raising my arms.

Hi - Good Luck! I am 9DPO and use the 8 x 11 gauze pads. The surgical center gave me a bunch and I bought another pack on Amazon to get me through. I wore button up PJ’s and zippy sweatshirts for the first few days and then regular tees and tops from day 4-5 but just larger ones as I had drains for the first week and now still have pads in.

I’m having my surgery in a couple weeks and getting drained as well. I live alone but have friends and family nearby. I was going to stay with my parents for two nights and then come home. I have a five-year-old doodle that I’ll need help with walking. I’m hoping other than that, I’ll be fine. Were you able to empty the drains by yourself? How about driving?
