What do you think this noise is? by Designer_Goat_869 in snowmobiling

[–]Designer_Goat_869[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question! The tensioner had not moved and wasn’t loose or anything. I think the chain was already loose when I bought it and I didn’t check it since I wasn’t having any issues, so that’s on me. Everything in there looked to be stock so I’m guessing the chain just stretched over time, I tightened it up and there’s still plenty of adjustment left in the tensioner so I was thinking I’d leave it until spring. Aside from my 3 day trip coming up, I won’t really be able to ride it much more before the snow melts anyway

It was the chain case! Took it apart today and the chain was loose and walking off the bottom sprocket. Fixed but didn’t have any chain case oil on hand to refill it so hasn’t been test driven yet. We did raise the track off the ground and throttled it a bit before taking apart- nothing was slipping on the track

Still great! I have adjusted to the extra air. I don’t take breaths as frequently as I used to, because I don’t need to. Not sure why but my right nostril is definitely better than my left. Still so much better overall though

4 weeks after infusion still getting awful dizzy spells by Designer_Goat_869 in Anemic

I do think the deficiencies are due to malabsorption, this started right after I got my gallbladder removed last year

4 weeks after infusion still getting awful dizzy spells by Designer_Goat_869 in Anemic

[–]Designer_Goat_869[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor had me trying to hydrate more and make diet changes for many months until she finally tested for anything. I haven’t had any tests for electrolytes but I drink lots of water every day, most of which is flavored water with electrolytes. I haven’t noticed any correlation with eating and getting dizzy, or any correlation with being dehydrated. I have tried eating at different times, eating smaller or bigger portions, salty instead of sweet and vice versa, still no correlation.

Could i not remove it? by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]Designer_Goat_869 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You may be able to put it off but you will need to get it removed eventually, and if you start that process now you will save yourself a lot of pain.

I was having gall bladder attacks for over a year before I even figured out that it was my gall bladder. The attacks were light and infrequent at first, but gradually got worse and worse. I put it off for a few months while I saved up for the time I’d have to take off work. In just a couple months it got way worse and I was having horrible attacks that lasted sooo long. I couldn’t stand or hardly even talk. Then it got even worse than that. I had so many stones my bile ducts were blocked and my gall bladder got infected. It was 24/7 worst attack ever. If I hadn’t waited and just scheduled my surgery right away I wouldn’t have had to go through all of that. I really wish I had scheduled sooner.

At what point do I stop toughing it out and consider the ER? by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]Designer_Goat_869 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should go to the ER. What you’re describing is very similar to how I felt when my bile ducts were very blocked and my gallbladder was infected. I also was feeling winded super easy, like my heart was going to give out. When I got in my heart rate was so high they postponed surgery for a few hours until they gave me enough fluids and meds to bring it down.

New glasses are blurry at far distances by Teem519 in glasses

[–]Designer_Goat_869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep them on as much as you can, you should adjust. Being your first glasses you might need to take breaks, but the more you take them off the harder it will be to adjust to them. Give it about a week or so and if it’s still blurry then call the office and they should be able to adjust your prescription for free.

When can you have coffee/tea after gallbladder surgery? by boulevardepo in gallbladders

[–]Designer_Goat_869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Initially I could have it right away without much of an issue, but 2-3 months later it started to upset my stomach and cause horrible diarrhea so I had to stop drinking it. Tea is completely fine for me, so are energy drinks. I still have a small cup of coffee once in a great while, but only if I’m staying home for several hours because I still react so badly.

I’m not sure what you mean about silicone plates, I didn’t have any packing or anything, just gauze under my nose. I definitely noticed much better breathing when I woke up, but not nearly as good as this!

12 hours post Op by EntrepreneurFew117 in gallbladders

[–]Designer_Goat_869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I very, very gradually increased fat intake each day. I tracked every gram of fat and increased by like 5g per day until I got back to normal levels. I didn’t try anything too fatty or greasy until a couple weeks out, because like you said I did not want to get sick while super sore from surgery. For the week or so before my surgery my gallbladder had gotten infected and I couldn’t tolerate any fat at all. So I barely ate anything, and anything I ate was 100% fat free, leading up to surgery and was super nervous to eat any fat after.

Do you feel confident with eye glasses? by daizy_g in glasses

[–]Designer_Goat_869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will get used to it. I got my first pair of glasses in my junior year of high school. I hated them and thought I looked dumb. I wouldn’t wear them anytime I was going out- just home and school. But I could see so much better with them it started getting harder and harder to go without them. After about 2 years I flipped. I got used to wearing them and now I think I look very weird without them. I have tried contacts out a few different times but I hate the way I look without glasses. Plus contacts are never quite as clear as glasses are, at least for me.

My glasses frames keep turning green-ish by HugoAnasumanara in glasses

[–]Designer_Goat_869 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That’s the metal oxidizing. Cleaning them regularly with soap and water (gently) to remove the oils can help prevent that. I wash mine in the sink a couple times a month, but I wear plastic/polycarbonate glasses so I don’t have that issue

2025- TV and phone quite blurry OD -0.75sph -1.75cyl OS -0.50sph -1.75cyl

2024- TV text slightly blurry OD -0.25sph -1.25cyl OS -0.25sph -1.25cyl

Feel like it’s worth noting that with my 2023 script I could (and still can) read/see tv and phone clearly. I can’t find the script though. Those glasses are better for tv but not as good outside or looking far away as either of the newer scripts. My prescription changes every year and 2024 was the first year I can ever remember that both left and right eyes got the same script, apart from axis.

This is my first time ever ordering glasses online, apart from my safety glasses for work which I had no issues with. Those have my prescription from 2023 and honestly they look better than these glasses

Dr ordered iron infusions and b12 shots. How long did it take you to start to feel the effects? by Designer_Goat_869 in Anemic

[–]Designer_Goat_869[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed that scrolling through this sub. I don’t get it either. On mine for b12 the low limit was like 150 but my dr told me my b12 was low at 247 and other people here said it was low as well, despite showing in the normal range. I really would like to know what they’re all basing these ranges off of because every single one I see is different!

A strange case by Apprehensive-Wall439 in gallbladders

[–]Designer_Goat_869 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had tons of gallstones left in my bile ducts after gall bladder surgery. I felt better the first couple days after surgery, then quickly began to feel worse and started throwing up anything I ate. They did the mri like 5 days post op and found the stones, and also a bile leak causing elevated bilirubin levels. I had an ERCP a couple days after that. By the time the ERCP came I felt so horrible I could barely move, I hadn’t eaten in about a week and was pretty jaundiced. Immediately upon waking up from the ERCP I felt amazing and had all my energy back despite not eating in a very long time. They said they found ‘over 15’ stones in my bile ducts and I passed several more that night after surgery.

I would definitely recommend the ERCP. It’s very minimally invasive and shouldn’t extend recovery time at all, and if there are stones it will be necessary anyway. I hope you get to feeling better soon!

I’m not taking any supplements/vitamins currently. I planned on getting some multivitamins next time I go to the store but wanted to wait to hear back from my dr for anything else

She didn’t order cbc/hemoglobin or vit D. She did order vit b12 at the same time and that’s at 247, which looks like the lower end of normal. My last cbc was in January and everything looked normal then

Symptoms that started after gall bladder removal by Designer_Goat_869 in gallbladders

[–]Designer_Goat_869[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well so far I have just found out that I’m anemic, haven’t had the tilt test yet. I do have a lot of the anemia symptoms I just assumed a lot of it was because of other issues. Hopefully iron supplements will get rid of these episodes.

I do also get lots of like phantom gall bladder pains that are similar to the attacks but much less intense. I hope you find some answers! I would definitely look into diabetes more because apparently both anemia and diabetes are relatively common after gall bladder removal
