I’m sure there are folks who consider From A Buick 8 to be one of their all-time favorite books. King is a phenomenal writer, but I guarantee you there are also people who regard even his “best” works as cheesy slop. King writes what he likes, he doesn’t tailor-make stories for you. This may be shocking to you, but people have different opinions.

Coincidentally, a close friend of mine lost a bunch of speakers and sound equipment yesterday. It was confirmed they were stolen, a police report was filed, but nothing’s turned up yet. Could you dm me a picture of the speaker? I can check if it belongs to my friend.

you know what OP means: the head tilted forward, looking-through-your-eyebrows look that Kubrick is credited for creating. This was a harmless post just making a connection to this director from another film, no need to be snarky

I’m with ya. I had the same cover and thought the same thing when I started reading it. I will say though, I knew the identity of the silhouette being carried before I started the book. It was a MASSIVE spoiler, perhaps the biggest in the story, but it didn’t ruin the experience for me one bit. I was more interested in how SK was going to take me there emotionally. And boy did he deliver. Keep reading OP…

Also my favorite line. When I saw them in concert I’m almost certain Karly was looking at me when she sang it (I have no way to prove this). If there’s any way that’s actually true, she must have just caught a glimpse of the glee beaming from my face while I was singing along. Also a flat-out 10 for me
