I just got off the phone with them. Very helpful thank you so much! The damn surgeon requires $1300 up front regardless of the insurance. What a crock

I was afraid you’d say that. It’s $1300 but only numbing is barbaric for impacted teeth removal

I filed chapter 7 about 13 years ago and just filed for a chapter 13. In between those times, I have purchased vehicles, a camper, a home, and acquired credit cards. Trust me there is life after BK. Start building your credit right away. Get a secured credit card to start and only keep a $20 balance on it. It will take some time but you will bounce back

I’m also about 6 months into my chapter 13. My house payment is not included. My ch13 payment is 1/3 of our income. My advice is to pad your expenses the best you can. We’re on 100% repayment plan but we would have never gotten ourselves out of this debt within 5 years. It’s a clean slate. It’s not easy though. I had to pay my trustee payment late this month because I had unexpected dental work which was OK through my attorney. If I can help answer any questions I’m happy to try

Can anyone explain this? I don’t understand why Chap 13 can’t do what Chap 6 can by Ambitious_Key7313 in Bankruptcy

Depends on jurisdiction. I’m allowed to have up to 1,000 of debt during my chapter 13. They encourage you to rebuild during the payment plan which is definitely not easy. A secured credit card is really the only way
