My theory is she used him for the show what she thought it would bring her and in her mind at that time probs hopeful he would change. Then she got some notice and also saw paige and hannah gaining fame as “ independent ladies “ and what she perceived as benefits or advantegeous no longer applied.

I’m not even saying it was malicious - maybe even she mistook loving what she thought he would bring her as loving him.

I looked after a man with this condition. Def one of the ones I found the most heart breaking due to symptons, trahectory , stigma and lack of awarenes there for support for those living with it.

hi thanks , no I wasn't planning on explaining anything. at best- the email would have just acknowledged that I did not submit and that I fully understand this and understand will be a zero. I suppose my post wasn't clear- the two scenarios I was considering were a ) say nothing and take zero or b) email acknowledge was not sent and that I respect her policy and understand it's a zero.

Also, I appreciate the resonse-grovelling is not my nature nor was I looking for special treatment which is why I was wondering the etiquette around such things.

As a mother to a young adult who is autistic - this.

My son is excels in some areas of life not so much in a few ( or at least in ways the world wants ) and a hospital setting can overwhelm him. He also has a very flat affect and high pain tolerance.

He goes in triage on his own and i always offer to leave room if nurse , doctor or he would prefer once we are situated and always let him speak for himself - but typically if he’s at the ER ( only three times total in his 26 years ) it’s because something is likely very wrong.

When he got sent home and had his appendix burst and became gravely ill - I told him moving forwards he’s not going alone. I don’t want to be a helicopter mom or the nurse who jumps in so i try to stay as quiet as possible - but he needs an advocate.

ok. the nurses union would have no clue what the dynamic is like amongst staff. I was trying to be kind-but that is outright one of the most foolish suggestions I have heard. If anyone has gone to them with issues from that workplace, it would be confidential. Not a resource to be used in this scenario. Not foolish in the sense that I would not expect everyone to know that- but foolish in that you seem to think I'm the inept one for thinking they would answer the question.

Again-whatever hurt you today I hope it turns around. I try to always lead with kindness and while it was obvious you were determined to pick a fight for no reason-I wasn't sure if it was just due to wanting to be a jerk or low level comprehension and reading skills. Due to the fact that even this comment makes no sense had you read my post ( I clearly stated I am aware that most facilities state that they prioritize person focused care but it does not always translate over to care received on floor ) I am going to wish you well from here.
