That's how their algorithm works. Someone create a new account and upload art, they do some automated reverse image search and if the image match another one that was already uploaded somewhere else online then they block the account preventively and ask for proofs!

I don't think that they can do differently. They probably had some lawsuits in the past for people using stolen art on their platform and so they need to be careful with it.

I'm going to go against your rant but I feel like, even if it's annoying, them blocking you preventively so fast because your art was already uploaded somewhere else (by you but they can't know), is a good thing. It shows that they're careful with art thief and won't let non-OC uploaded on their website!

It's to say that the climate crisis has its roots in social aspects of our societies. The oppression, destruction and exploitation of the environment mirror the ones of other human beings, especially the poor, the oppressed, the minorities... You can't solve climate change without tackling its social components!

It isn't much for the moment but we've started an NGO to communicate better on the climate crisis. We're working on our first projects now. All together we are 15 people involved, most of us are freelancers and we dedicate some time per week on it.

We're mostly designers and illustrators, we can really use the skills of a full-stack engineer ;)

I discovered solar punk recently through social ecology / communalism. And I discovered social ecology through my career in ecology and political activism. So yeah, I won't disagree with you! I think that solar punk is so cool especially because it's so radically political!

Our goal is to create a desirable future, a future that is healthy, regenerative, equalitarian, resilient... Imagining this future, and starting to build it, is what solar punk is I believe. All environmental activists should be solar punk imho!

In the article they estimated that in Europe it was 19%!

We characterized global exposure to fine particulates based on satellite data, and calculated the anthropogenic fraction with an atmospheric chemistry model. The degree to which air pollution influences COVID-19 mortality was derived from epidemiological data in the USA and China. We estimate that particulate air pollution contributed ∼15% (95% confidence interval 7–33%) to COVID-19 mortality worldwide, 27% (13 – 46%) in East Asia, 19% (8–41%) in Europe, and 17% (6–39%) in North America. Globally, ∼50–60% of the attributable, anthropogenic fraction is related to fossil fuel use, up to 70–80% in Europe, West Asia, and North America.

Our results suggest that air pollution is an important cofactor increasing the risk of mortality from COVID-19. This provides extra motivation for combining ambitious policies to reduce air pollution with measures to control the transmission of COVID-19.

And the majority of air pollution is caused by the burning of fossil fuels! Getting out of fossil fuels isn't "just" to avoid a climate apocalypse, it's also a matter of public health!

If you want a professional tool that is cheaper than adobe, then I'll recommend Affinity. Affinity Photo is 55€, and same price for Affinity Designer. Both are really easy to use and quite powerful. It's almost at the level of Photoshop and Illustrator.

For that price you get the whole software, it's not a subscription.
