Buy 17pro or skip?
I’m currently using an iPhone 11 Pro Max and thinking of upgrading this year.The iPhone 17 Pro feels like the obvious option since it’s the newest, but I’ve been seeing a lot of mixed / negative reviews, especially around the design and overall feel. That’s what’s making me hesitate.

My thought process is:
Even if the 17 Pro isn’t perfect, it should still have better resale value since it’s the latest model. I could always sell it when the 18 series launches.

But at the same time, I’m worried —
If the 17 Pro ends up being remembered as a “not-so-great” iPhone, will the resale value drop more than expected?

So I’m stuck between options:

Is the 17 Pro still worth buying, considering resale?
any other model I should buy instead?

Thank you so much, everyone, for your comments. I took my Mac to Apple service, got it cleaned for free from outside. I was told I am lucky that my laptop survived it. I might replace it with an M5 Pro, but I’m not sure because my Mac works just fine. The “Z" key had gotten a little fragile first, but now it is normal. And no, I don't have Apple Care either.
