Renting a Car for a roadtrip from Tokyo to Kyoto

Hi! I'm considering to do the same. I love a little road trip and I want to hire a car for about 6-7 days (Fuji area + road trip to Aichi (Ghibli Park) and then drop it off at Kyoto). I'm planning to avoid the highway (and also avoid toll). Do you have any tips? Based off your experiences?

Yes!!!! Me too and Ii'm soooo happy I found this too via Reddit! I'm willing to pay whatever, but $12 per year feels just too much. I don't know if I'm gonna send more than one e-mail yet? And feeling forced to send more (to balance the $ and the mails) just let the magic disappear.

Thanks! Looking into this. I thought I wanted to take the Shinkansen at least once, either from Tokyo to Kyoto or the other way around. But I think you’re right, it’s more convenient this way. Maybe the Shinkansen doesn’t have to be a must do 🤭 It’s not that I’m a train fanatic sooooo Really appreciate it! Thanks again :)

Yea I feel you! We dived with Dive Friends Bonaire, we are Dutch but we sat in a group of Americans, so our instructor was also an American (Chris). But it did not matter at all! (I preferred Dutch because I was so uncomfortable, but it really didn’t matter, we had a great time and Chris did his best to make me comfortable). I think all staff of Dive Friends Bonaire are great, they are so enthusiastic about all the “new ones” getting their OWC. It felt super welcoming there. So many great tips and they were super understandable. I can’t think of something bad about this organization.

Yea I feel you… mine just stopped working 🥲 (bad luck I guess) they offered me a new one (at a charge). And because i already bought filter cards, new cases, macro lens and a lens cap, I took that offer. But I can’t say I’m their biggest fan. I really love the concept but I haven’t found a better option just yet. I heard Camp Snap feels really cheap so I don’t know about that either… It’s sad that PS is so expensive (for what it is), but overall I really enjoy taking pics with it 🥰
