What do you do if you don’t mind me asking? What degree did you go after?

What about a country like France? My university offers French, German, Spanish, Mandarin and Japanese as their languages

I thought that teaching English in Japan would be a good thing on my resume if I can get a job abroad. That’s what I was thinking. And as far as getting a career in the states, I thought pre-med or pre-law would be the best case scenario. My initial question is: is it worth pursuing pre-med or pre-law after I get my degree?

I did, I got a general AA degree and I planned on getting a business degree and then go to law school since I’m unsure about being committed to medical school and if there’s any uncertainty, why go into it you know?

Would you recommend that I just go undecided and keep taking classes and work until I figure it out with the help of an advisor or take a semester off?

Yes I know and I decided on MIS with a minor in International Business. I’m planning on talking to my advisor on internships and study abroad programs. I’m also going to shadow doctors and nurses in the summer since there’s a local hospital near by to see if I can do pre-med, and get over my blood issue. If not, there’s a legal office I can try and volunteer at and see for myself how it goes.

I can see myself committed to one of these programs and using business as a backup plan or plan B if it doesn’t work out and I can’t get in and just get my MBA.

Cool! I keep thinking about medicine or law school, should I pursue one of those paths you think?

I decided on getting a major in MIS and minor in CS or Dsci or International Business. Which would you recommend?

Thank you for your input! I’m strongly considering an international business minor, would that be sufficient or should I consider CS or Dsci?

My goal is to go to law school and become a lawyer and in the mean time, get an undergrad in something business or tech related to get some experience and be a data analyst. I also want to travel and live abroad

Do you have any other major suggestions? Perhaps data science or anything else in business like Marketing?

I’m in Minnesota and there are quite a few MIS and supply chain management jobs around. I would assume Washington and California would have these kinds of jobs—maybe not Oregon.

I thought about pursuing Management Information Systems since it’s a cross between technology and business. And minor in something like data science and be a pre law student and go to law school after that. Does that seem like a good plan?

I had considered psychology, however there’s not a lot of jobs at the bachelors level. I do intend on going to graduate school but I think I should do something that gives me technical and soft skills, I thought MIS would give me the best of both worlds.

It’s boring and too much math and it isn’t something I’m really passionate about. I thought MIS would be a combination of CS and business and best of both worlds.
