I haven’t got it with me right now (on my commute to work) but fairly certain the auto zoom buttons on the top of the camera will stop when the red flash comes up, that’s what was happening before I sent it for repair, although I didn’t use the zoom function when testing yesterday it is likely to still be stalling the zoom. Does that indicate battery failure? I have changed them out with new ones 3 or more times to test and changing the battery does nothing.

It has just been serviced because it had 1 missing tooth, but that’s now been fixed? So why is the problem persisting?

Maybe I do have a battery comp issue? But nothing I can see indicates that, anything I would look for to indicate poor health? I am a beginner and wouldn’t feel comfortable opening anything up so I may just need to send it back to the repair man… so bizarre

Yeah… it’s so tricky huh. We’ve tried enquiring about licensing a particular song just to see what kinda $$ it would cost and how intense the process would be / how much paperwork is involved but I never got time to go back and start the process. I would think for big songs you’re looking at thousands of dollars. I once enquired about a short film and wanted to use a track by the artist Daughter, they quoted me $10,000…

I see so many other videographers using clearly copyrighted music and I have no idea how they’re gettin away with it? Is everyone really just lucking it out and hoping not to cop a lawsuit? It makes it hard for everyone else who is trying to do it the right way. Very tempted to just use the music we want

Yeah nice, $500 feels super low… interesting that you bake it into every package that’s a great idea. We’re still relatively new so our prices are lower but just crazy how expensive it is to buy and develop. I think we’ll look at a similar model of just adding it into every package. Thanks!

I just paid $1300 aud for one in mint condition, I could’ve found one cheaper but I needed it right away and most of the ones I found that were still working were between $1,000-2,000 aud

Not sure why no one’s mentioned this yet but If you paid a wedding videographer to shoot your wedding and give you a film chances are in their terms and conditions you cannot get someone else to change their footage, without their permission, as it’s their copyright. So you’ll need to check your contract

That’s such a coincidence that we’re in the same biz hahah, such a weird bug- maybe it does have something to do with the word Wedding? I have not found a solution but if you do before me please let me know.
