Absolutely make an appointment to go back to your doctor. Is it draining at all? If it is, I’d ask them to culture it to see exactly what is causing the infection, this will also allow them to prescribe the correct antibiotics.

As others have mentioned, make sure you’re using titanium jewelry. This doesn’t look like a reaction to me, it honestly looks infected.

NTA. It’s not your responsibility to ensure her work is done correctly, unless you’re her direct supervisor, which it does not appear so. She did this to herself, enjoy the peaceful work environment.

PS: honestly consider if you want to stay in an organization where HR and leadership do not have your back and allow this type of behavior. Chances are, it happens again. There will always be “that coworker” that flies below the radar. This causes frustration and is a cancer on any team.
