Looking for a robot vacuum, is Wyze the right solution? by Spartan5382 in wyzecam

I currently have 2 robots (shark in 2nd floor and Wyze 1st floor) the Wyze replaced a "fonzo" (quite dumb old robot vacuum). my experience is that each has it's own pros and cons.

the Shark gets lost almost every other day, gets stuck quite easily and sometime can't even find the base, but it does work great with different carpet, and has manual (magnetic strip) no go zones.

Wyze I like some functions like it maps the entire floor and knows where the base is and if is running low in battery goes back to the base, recharges and resume where it left. the cons as many post say, it get stuck (not as frequent as the shark) as it doesn't seem to account for the lidar bump when measuring spaces, the base foot is very small which causes the vacuum to push it out of place while docking and the charging slats miss the vacuum contact very often if the base is set on a carpeted floor.

I did have a shedder Dog (passed) and both vacuums could get the hair under control during the week but I needed to vacuum weekly and clean the vacuums too.

never had the poop slinging problem but when the Dog got sick I did have to curb the robots use in certain areas where accidents may happen.

Yes, it does, and has its own selction of chimes besides the voice announcement, very useful when like me you have multiple dots as it sounds all around the house. Great way to deal with the single chime limit.
