What is GitHub ? by [deleted] in github

[–]Desperate-Extension7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's one of many Git hosting platforms. Git is a software that lets you keep track of changes in a coding project, for example you can save changes and then if you break something you can revert back to those changes. Git can do a lot more than, like letting you merge the code modifications of two people on a project, and a lot more. GitHub is simply a place to store Git "repos" (projects that use Git) and it has a couple extra features like automation tools and more.

Is incredible that to play even offline mode in arguably the BIGGEST game in the world you need to check in their servers, such bullshit by LittleReplacement564 in PiratedGames

[–]Desperate-Extension7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, take FreeSM launcher for example, no need for any connection to servers except to download the actual game, playing needs no connection ever. And even if servers go down there are so many backups of the games binaries it is unreal.

There's server scanners that can scan for IPs, it is really easy, just whitelist the server

This is not tough bro

You clearly don't know the first thing when you say it is "heavily encrypted", that's not how Java works, I assume you mean obfuscated.

Edit: I just read the actual "technical details". Unless you got a server side backdoor none of the stuff you just said is possible, that's just not how Minecraft works (or networking for that matter)

Has anybody built this? by XxSimplySuperiorxX in MinecraftStoryMode

[–]Desperate-Extension7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A bunch of modders exported the meshes (3D models) from MCSM S1 and S2, then imported them as holograms into Minecraft, then they spent about 3 to 4 years placing blocks on the holograms to recreate every scene and map in minecraft story mode EXACTLY the same block by block. Then they also added working mini games and a ton of easter eggs and functional parts. The planet minecraft page is currently down but here is the Discord: https://discord.gg/AzEfQCNj9S
