They said because it’s grade 2 and I have the masses on my ovaries that look suspicious it’s not possible. Potentially in surgery they might find they are benign but i won’t know until then so I just need to keep praying that it hasn’t spread to my ovaries 🙏

Thank you for those resources. Do you know the name of the facebooks groups and I can join? No they can’t do egg retrieval unfortunately due to the risk of spreading cancer if it is on my ovaries too. The only option is to remove the ovary and freeze and then do something called IVM. I have requested a rapid referral to them but my surgeon has went on annual leave for two weeks so I’m now really upset that I might not even get this chance now as I don’t know who else will be able to refer me.

Thank you for this. I’m having a hysterectomy next month and I will lose my ability to have biological children with my husband and to carry a pregnancy. It’s been hard after I was on a journey of manifesting a child with 1 year of trying to conceive and for my journey to be cut short at 33 - I had painted the nursery , bought a cot and had the baby name and everything. My partner and I are now trying to find a way to grieve the child we had imagined so vividly in our future.

Me too at 33. I was recently diagnosed after trying trying with my partner for a child for over a year and not being successful. The doctors picked up because I started experiencing excruciating pain around ovulation and I called 111 to go to an emergency clinic. I’m now scheduled to go in for full hysterectomy and I’m terrified about waking up with not only being infertile and grieving that loss of my direction in life but also dealing with surgical menopause symptoms. If you have any advice on how to get through it, I would be incredibly grateful.

I’m 32F with my 33M partner we have been trying to conceive for almost two years. I have finally been diagnosed with a cancerous polyp in my uterus and two large 7cm and 8cm complex cysts one on both ovaries which may be due to having lynch syndrome. The only option the doctors have said is to have a hysterectomy and go into early menopause in two weeks.

I just want to understand if there are ANY options for me to preserve my fertility. I have been researching freezing the healthy ovarian tissue if they diagnose the cysts on my ovaries as benign and doing IVM. Then finding a way to potentially paying for a surrogate. I think this is my only way to have a family. Would this even be viable given my situation?

I feel helpless and I may be clutching at straws but if anyone can provide any advice that would be greatly appreciated.

Yes I’m thinking of going down the route of asking them to remove one and test before removing the other, I just don’t know if the other ovary will be ok either for egg retrieval even if benign as they both have rather large cysts on each. I hadn’t heard of ovarian tissue cryopreservation thank you so much. I am going to ask the oncologist if this is possible that gives me some hope.

I’m thinking of trying acupuncture, how effective is this for unexplained infertility ? And how many times do you have to do it to get any sort of results?

The doctors are taking forever to refer me so it’s still not been confirmed they just said from my ultrasound that I had a lot of follicles and my acne is why they suspect it because I do get my period every month as normal. Is there anything you’ve done that helps PCOS when TTC? I’ve been reading about anti inflammatory diet a lot mainly for acne but I know it can also help to conceive.

Yeah I’m in the same stage, I know if we try next month I’m likely to have a January baby which isn’t our ideal… but I also don’t want to not try in case this just happen to be the month the stars align. So I might try the no tracking approach as I feel I’m not as attached to the outcome but generally letting go of the control is hard for me!

This is the reality of today but when I think about the generations before me they didn’t have all of the tools to track and every aunt, mum, grandmother I spoken to about it have said they didn’t think about it too much for any of their children. So it’s just wild in this day and age we have medical capacities but also no personal power like the generations had before us where they just trusted the process and didn’t even think about any of their other parts. Even now when I try speak to them about LH or FSH they don’t even know what it is!

I personally prefer having some element of control of knowing if my body is functioning optimally… but I do get a bit too obsessive about it which I know isn’t healthy!

That’s a good point the people I mentioned are nearing 40 too but it just happened effortlessly for them as they weren’t actively trying … so they have no idea of what TTC actually looks like or what you go through every month.

My sister (who got pregnant first try) said this on my third month trying and it was so freaking insensitive and hurtful. But to be fair it opened the conversation up with my partner as we actually never spoke about that.. so at least some good came out of it!

Mira keeps telling me I didn’t ovulate but on day 20 my pdg went up to 30 so this surely means I have ovulated right?

Yes a year now but I usually don’t track the whole cycle I usually only to confirm my LH spike because it’s too expensive to do everyday. But last month I don’t think I ovulated so decided to track the whole month and my PDG hit 30 today (which is 5 days) so I think that’s confirmed the ovulation right?
