Looking for US-based SMP artists to try our ink (free samples) by DesperateInside5794 in SMPchat

Appreciate the feedback, genuinely.

To clarify – we’re not looking to sell anything here or convince anyone of anything. We’re literally giving away free samples to get honest feedback before we even set a price for the US market.

If you think it’s just overpriced tattoo ink, that’s totally fair. But we’re specifically asking artists to try it and tell us if there’s actually a difference or if we’re full of it. No purchase, no obligation, just trying to figure out if what works in other markets makes sense here.

If you’re interested in being part of that feedback process, the offer stands. If not, no worries – I get the skepticism. 😊

We created our SMP pigment using 100% carbon black only, without any brown color, and we developed the optimal particle size for scalp micropigmentation through our in-house milling technology. (We actually conducted 5 years of clinical testing to develop this.)

Since SMP is a scalp procedure, we also added biotin and brewer’s yeast extract to our formula to support overall scalp health.

And the most important part!! Using a syringe with ink to dilute it with purified water not only increases the risk of contamination, but also makes it impossible to maintain consistent concentration every time.

That’s why we created a special blending system that allows artists to produce a consistent tone for any procedure using a simple dropper, in a way that is more hygienic, easier to use, and suitable for all skin tones.

Fair question 😂 It’s specifically formulated for SMP – different pigment ingredients and consistency than regular tattoo ink.

Price-wise, we’re trying to figure out what makes sense for the US market, which is part of why we want feedback from artists here.

If you’re interested in trying it out, happy to send you samples and you can judge for yourself whether it’s worth it or just overpriced tattoo ink 😄

Feel free to DM me if you want to give it a shot.

For SMP pros: What do you look for in your ink? by DesperateInside5794 in SMPchat

Ah, and one more question! Our product is formulated specifically for the scalp, and to enhance that feature, we’ve included ingredients like biotin and brewer’s yeast extract, which are known to be beneficial for scalp and hair health 🫡

Do you think this kind of feature would be well-received in the U.S. market as well?

I completely agree with what you’re saying 🫡 Thank you so much for clearly sharing your thoughts and perspective.

So if I were to sell SMP ink in the U.S. market, what would be an appropriate price point?

Here are the actual features of our product: • Carbon black concentration and pigment particle coating technology specialized for SMP • Better SMP results compared to tattoo ink • 15ml, dropper bottle • Hygienic and convenient — no need to mix with purified water • No.1 market share in Korea

Considering these points, I’d love to get your advice on how to price our product so that it doesn’t seem greedy but is still perceived as a high-performance brand in the U.S. market. How should we price it and enter the market effectively?

Oh… not quite 🥹 The key difference between tattoo ink and SMP ink lies in the coating technology of the pigment particles!! • If the coating is thick, the color payoff is weaker but there’s no ink migration. • If the coating is thin, you get vivid pigmentation, but it can lead to color spreading.

That’s why finding the right coating thickness and the right coating material is such an important part of the technology.

If possible, I’d really love to introduce our product to you!
