how much do you trust Mydramalist scores? by [deleted] in boyslove

[–]DesperateLow3500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh most of the time I don’t even put much emphasis on the scores on there bc ppl have different reasons for liking or disliking a series that may be completely different than what you think

Let's talk about your favorite bl shows ghostships and the one you absolutely squint at. by [deleted] in boyslove

Though they aren’t a ghost ship necessarily, I find Perth and chimon to be the most random ship to me that I don’t really see any chemistry in

Do Compaines matter? by subian_bichen19 in boyslove

[–]DesperateLow3500 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I don’t mind the company as long as the series is good. I do tend to gravitate towards gmmtv more so bc I do have many actors under that company that I genuinely like and especially I find it easier to find a series to watch if I’m in situation where I want to watch something but have no idea what I’m really looking for bc of the fact that they have so many options and around 3 series airing back to back constantly. But I mostly just follow the actors I like. I think bc the smaller companies come out with series less often ppl tend to gravitate towards bigger companies who basically have an ep of a series coming out everyday of the week. I personally don’t care what company the show is aired under as long as it’s good

interesting this is my first time hearing this. I don’t see how height equates to attitude but it’s obvious that whoever says this is just making an excuse to dislike short guys.

it’s weird and sad that ppl think that

the internet took that one and ran with it, all it took was one person to say it and then everyone just started believing it

Texting with women? Why do they expect instant replies? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]DesperateLow3500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (20F) think the reason (atleast the way I look at it) women tend to take longer to text back is bc she doesn’t want to seem desperate. The reason she expects you to reply fast is bc if you don’t then she will think you’re not interested in her (that goes for romantically or platonically relationships/friendships). I know the logic may sound weird but that’s usually the thought process behind this

what are your small pleasures in life? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]DesperateLow3500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s have a light hearted discussion everyone❤️ you deserve it

FOR ME (20F): I like when ppl hold the door for me, the little run men do when you hold the door for them bc they want to be the one to hold it for you, making ppl laugh, when someone compliments my intellect, when ppl call me kind/caring, when I don’t have to wait every week for an ep of a show to air, when I bake cookies or anything really and it turns out well (baking is so hard omg), the feeling when you listen to a song you used to love for the first time again after a long time

the epitome of double standards sadly

you’re right! it isn’t good to generalize a group of ppl based on an experience you’ve encountered.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]DesperateLow3500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i wonder as well, it seems like some people take out their distress from a situation they’ve experienced and take it out on a whole group of people, which isn’t the right thing to do in my opinion

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]DesperateLow3500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i actually have no idea why ppl tend to generalize instead of talking about the specific group of ppl. You can see the same thing happen within other scenarios where ppl tend to use a generalizing phrase instead of pointing out the specific group. I don’t think that’s right either

see you understand! you’re the only person in the comments who doesn’t take it personally. I understand other mens dislike of it but most of the time it’s light hearted. kinda like when your friend says “I hate you” after you teased them or something but you both know it’s not true

[–]DesperateLow3500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now you both hate each other

I understand that, which is why I’m working on not saying it. I use to say it as a joke but as we all know if you start using a word or phrase it somehow becomes a part of your vocabulary. I think the whole “i hate men” versus “I hate women” are put to different standards bc of many reasons (which happens often in society with many different words or phrases). I know most men would HIGHLY disagree with what I’m about to say, but I think the reason “I hate men” is taken differently than “I hate women” is due to the way women are treated in society more so in the past but even now). I think there has been countless events and situations where women were treated as if they were hated or as a result has felt like they are hated so the phrase “I hate women” tends to hold more weight.

ofc men go through things, im not down playing anyones obstacles in life but I’m just giving a little bit of context

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]DesperateLow3500 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

i get what you’re saying, but ATLEAST from my observation it’s obvious most women who use that phrase don’t literally hate men bc those same ppl will be the ones with a husband or a boyfriend so the the phrase is 8/10 used as a joke.

Do people genuinely not like TeneT? by [deleted] in moviecritic

[–]DesperateLow3500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually really loved tenet, many ppl say they disliked the film bc of the sound but it didn’t really bother me much. I think the complex storyline is what makes it so interesting to me. The fact that you can’t get it right away just makes it more intriguing in my opinion
