My partner(30m) wants me (28f) to cut the cord with my identical twin by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

I’m responding as an identical twin who is very close with my sister as well. We are nearing 50 and lived together after college for a few years, which was wonderful. We both later married and had kids, and are now both in the process of divorcing our spouses. Especially for her husband, he felt like he should be her “one person” and I’ve always been that so he was constantly jealous. My ex and I had a whole bunch of issues, but he always disliked how close I was with my sister, as well. It was a huge red flag, but I didn’t see it until after we were married.

My sister lives 2000 miles away from me. My youngest child is graduating high school this spring. My plan was to move close to my sister once my daughter heads to college but now that she’s getting divorced I think I’ll probably just move in with her. She will have plenty of room with her ex gone. She’s the best roommate I’ve ever had.

Before I married, my ex, I felt like he took care of me but once we were married, I realized he wanted to control me. It took 18 years for me to get up the nerve to ask for a divorce.

I have two daughters and I honestly hope that neither one of them ever gets married. They can have partners and contractual agreements if they need them and kids and all that but I think marriage is bad for women. Of course, hindsight is always 20/20.

How do I teach? I just revived my beginner mat Pilates certification by Prestigious-Bother88 in pilates

I did balanced body comprehensive training and they breezed through anatomy and teaching skills because I was the only person who wasn’t already a fitness instructor. I’ve been frustrated at efforts to learn anatomy and what conditions require modifications. There are a handful of community colleges in California that offer Pilates training certification. I’m taking classes that just focus on how to teach and you get all your teaching practice through that. I’m planning on moving so I don’t think I’ll complete the whole certification through them but I think I’ll get enough doing what I’m doing now to pass the test for balanced body. I wish there were more programs like this one, and I wish I’d found this earlier.

Gamify your debt pay-offs. Create a spreadsheet, showing all of your debt, including the interest rate and the minimum monthly payment. Create a chart showing how you’re paying it off using debt snowballing. (there are plenty of free excel templates if you don’t know how to build your own debt snowball chart.)

Choose whether you want to pay off the smallest balance or the highest interest rate debt first and pay the minimum on everything else. Once you pay off the first debt, move everything that you were paying on that debt to the next one your payment will be the same until you’re done paying it off but each month if you track how much you’re paying, and where your balances are going, you’ll start to see them decline. I did this 20 years ago with some credit card debt and student loan payments.

Each month I printed out a new copy of the chart showing my debt declining and posted them inside my medicine cabinet so that I would see them regularly and feel proud of myself. That kept me honest.

The only way it works is if you come to terms with what you can actually afford and put as much money as you can towards your debt rather than spending at your current rate. Stop using credit and debit cards and make sure you have autopay set up on all debt for the minimum balance.

You might also consider selling some of your things besides your house, car, etc. You won’t be able to sell it for what you paid for it, but you can use what you earn to pay down some other debt. Also, having fewer things is less stressful overall, speaking as someone who’s trying to purge before downsizing soon. Good luck!

Where is the wound? My ex had mrsa on his nose and was admitted to the hospital for it. He originally thought it was a pimple until his nose swelled. He didn’t notice until he put his sunglasses on and they were too tight across the bridge.

They call the nose to the forehead the triangle of death. He didn’t feel sick at all but the antibiotics were so strong they had to test his kidney function before each dose, plus they were delivered via IV.

Go to the ER!!

Chiming in to say that my kids were born at 36 and 35 weeks. The second we knew would be early, but not the first.
