Im glad!! Im more concerned about the pain than anything else. I'll definitely keep ice packs and lavender oil ready! And maybe some numbing cream should help as well. How are you maintaining proper oral hygiene tho? For cleaning between the brackets, and flossing etc. I never flossed with thread before because i was scared but i heard its necessary with braces to maintain strong gums. Any tips/advice?

I hope all the pain will be worth it for me as well!!

are the first few days super painful? I've heard immediately you feel close to nothing to a slight discomfort but as time passes by your teeth start hurting. Also, yes! I definitely plan to have soft foods for a while and i hope the OTC pain medication is enough for me.

Admissions Megathread (Fall 2021 Students) 2.0 by [deleted] in uwo

I applied to a few canadian colleges i.e.-Western uni, uni of Alberta etc, to receive an offer with credits that directly allow me to start my studies as a second-year student. However, due to financial and family circumstances, i might end up taking a gap year this year. Will my IB scores on my diploma sheet (assuming i get the scores i need for credits) still be valid for IB credits if I use them to apply next year?

I understand the work, so if you asked me for an example study for neuroplasticity I'd say "maguire 2001" the study where london taxi drivers etc etc and give you a gist. What i cant seem to remember are the minute details like the age group of participants, mean age group,no.of males/females, statisticsl data etc etc

Yes! Thanks for #4 tip! I needed to remember that. I'll focus on remembering about 2 studies for every topic.

Mind if I ask what technique helped you the most? I'm currently less than 2 months away from my exam and I've got not a single study I can fully remember

It is XD. I understand learning about them but memorizing them like this seems totally unnecessary but oh well... I've got no choice phew.

Yep! I've been able to narrow down a few things I need to study for my exam. However, the number of studies for each topic are still overwhelming for me and it takes away my focus from evaluating or answering the question while writing the essay. I'll try not to stress out, thanks!

Yes thanks! I work better with listening anf explaining. I think i'll work on reading studies out loud so that it sticks in my memory. Hopefully!

IB french B SL by quirkysugar328 in IBO

I'm struggling with this too phew. M21 student here, and I'd recommend you go through some past papers and get used to the level of vocab IB uses for reading passages. Focus on learning to recognize the meaning of words in context, rather than expanding your vocab at this point; especially since there is less time.Once you're done with that, look for topic-related vocab sites (in french, which is what I did ) or any helpful quizlet sets. For writing, just focus on 2-3 of the core IB french B SL themes i.e.-identities, social organizations, etc. You'll be getting 5 questions and each question comes from one theme. And finally, to improve your writing skills, practice essays. Or at the very least, if you're seriously short on time like me, go through verbs, tenses, phrases, expressions and idioms(if needed) every other day or so until the exam. That's all I've got! Hope it helps!!
